Glass Baskets...

A couple weeks ago...
I shared my Fenton Lily of the Valley Basket.
With you...
If you want to see that post you can click here.

Do you know how sometimes you get infatuated with something?
Like these glass baskets.

Everywhere I go I seem to see more of them..
calling my name!
So in the past couple of weeks,
I have picked up these two new ones.

(click photos to enlarge)

They are really fun to decorate,
because they hold the little flowers
that are hard to put in a regular vase.

I really should have taken a picture of this basket
 before I filled it.
It is pink glass and it has a wonderful basket weave pattern,
the water and flowers made it hard to see.

I have filled it with bits of Jacobs Ladder,
Weigela, and Valerian.
A spring mix :-)

This glass basket is tiny!
I filled it with delicate Violets and Forget-Me-Nots.

In the Victorian language of flowers
each flower has a meaning.
Violets mean Faithfulness
and Forget-Me-Nots mean True Love.
So this little bouquet packs a big message.
Certainly a desirable bouquet to receive
from a sweetheart!

This little glass bird isn't new..
but he is one of my favorite trinkets.
So he flutters around the house a lot :-)

Today I am joining Cindy at My Romantic Home
for Show and Tell Friday

Thanks for visiting,

Hello Bella
I have a couple of nice ceramic baskets I made years ago but have never seen glass ones before - they are so sweet.
And, you filled them with pretty flowers.
I look forward to seeing more arrangements in your baskets.

I don't think I've ever seen a glass basket, but I must say they are stunning filled with flowers as you've done. I love that you see the stems and can see the water line. Just beautiful!
