A work of art Bella! I used to make so many pink heart-shaped cakes for our girls for their birthday and usually added pansies to the top for June; November got sprinkles. :-)
I hope you shared your cake with company or had friends over for tea.

I've heard roses are edible. I guess after seeing your gorgeous cake that it's true. So, I'll have a slice with one rose, please. I think I'll pass on the leaves, tho. Great job decorating for Pink Saturdays Birthday.

Hello Bella
Just found your blog looking at cake photos. Your pink cake is beautiful! Love the flowers you chose, so pretty and femine.
I wonder if you would share what type of frosting you used for the cake? Not asking for the recipe (but would love it!) just what type it might be. I can't get over how fluffy it looks, so perfect for a birthday cake!
Thank you
Jay
