Shasta Daisies...

As I keep telling you
we are having a really wet spring...

(click photos to enlarge)

and the Shasta Daises are thrilled!!
They are growing wild and crazy.

The delphiniums are coming along right behind them.

The Delphinium by my front porch started to bloom
a couple days ago
you can catch a blurry view of them in yesterdays post.
My window glass is the old original glass
(108 years old!)
and challenging to photograph through
but... Oh so lovely.

We hand cut all the pickets on our fence..
We live on a corner lot and the fence
is about two hundred feet long.
It was a huge job.
But.. I am so pleased with the outcome
it makes the perfect backdrop
 for all the lovely flowers.

When the Roses start to bloom
and everything fills in
I will take you for a fence long tour:-)

Here are their sunny faces looking for the sun...
It's nowhere in sight today.

So... of course,  I had to cut a little bundle
to bring in the house...

although.. I loved the way they looked
laying on the white wicker chair :-)

Today I am joining...

Kathleen at Faded Charm

and I am joining...
Susan at A Southern Daydreamer

Thanks for visiting me today,

I love the way life looks through old, wavy glass.
Daisies? Mine aren't blooming yet. I have some old
milk bottles just waiting for daisies! Will post as soon
as.
As usual, love it all,
Kathy

Hi Bella,

That is so wonderful your windows have the old hand rolled sheet glass with the waves - great stuff! Your shastas are pretty - and they do make such terrific cut flowers!

The daisies are beautiful, I have the small ones and I see buds! The temps will be in the 90's the next two days in Philly, so I expect them to bloom very soon-love it!

Hi Bella!
I can't wait to see the 'fence tour'!
I love daisies and coneflowers; they are so sunny and friendly, plus I love their long bloom times. I would like to plant some shasta daisies in the back yard when we get it finished. My coneflowers will be blooming in another month I think!

Wow! You and your hubby hand-cut those pickets? And I assume put the fence together as well? It's gorgeous, and your flowers are obviously very happy in your yard, they're beautiful.

Happy belated WW! I'm loving your shasta daisies! I used to have some planted in my garden at my other house. I haven't planted any yet in my garden where I live now. Your pics have reminded me how much I love them...so pretty! I love the white ribbon you tied around the little bouquet, too. :) Have a great Memorial Day weekend! :) ~ jo
