Wet May Flowers...

Welcome to a very wet day in my garden!
Grab your umbrella,
we'll go look around a bit :-)

I planted a three tiered planter last month
and shared pictures on my blog.
Click here to see that post
They have filled in a lot..
So I thought I'd show you some close ups.

(click photos to enlarge)

Here is Nemesia "Violet Ice"
mixed with some droopy wet Pansies....

Some Alyssum in from of a little bird bath,
smells so good....

These Pansies have the most ruffled petals...

A Deutzia (pink-a-boo) Bush..

Here is a Great close-up of the Deutzia's flower,
that my sweet husband took.

It's really nice enlarged,
it is dripping wet...

and... Some Valerian on a little slope
in the back of the garden.

I hope you enjoyed my little tour.

Tomorrow I am going to visit a couple gardens
 on the US Garden Conservancies
Open Day in my area.

For information on this summer long program
allowing the public to visit private gardens of merit
all across the US,  click here.

Today I am joining Today's Flower

Hi Bella, I actually like being in the garden right after the rain. Everything looks so bright and smells so nice on the rainy spring/summer days. Thank you for the little tour in your garden. I love the closeup of the Deutzia bush.
It's going to rain here next week, too. I'm looking forward to it as long as there won't be more than three rainy days in a row.
Have a wonderful day tomorrow visiting other gardens.

My friend has a pink-a-boo Deutsia! It is beautiful. Maybe some day I will add it to my garden.
Thanks for the lovely walk,

Your planter looks wonderful - full of so many pretty plants. We planted our baskets and troughs and tubs yesterday.
We do need rain, though sometimes we get too much of a good thing. The garden smells wonderful after a downpour.

I love to tour my gardens too after a rain, everything looks so lush.
The colours of Nemsia 'Violet Ice' caught my eye, I may have to look for it at the garden centre.
