Beautiful blue skies call for
lazy days..

Hanging laundry on the line...
and watching it drip dry...
a sun made of lace...
Looking through the lace...
Soaking in the sweet scents of summer,
Like only line dried laundry can...
The pink embroidered center,
of a favorite new tablecloth...
Sun lace shadows shining through...
A sun lace drawing on the bricks...
crisp precise cutwork embroidery,
with sun lace weaving it's lazy shadows behind it...
I dry the smalls on a little rack,
on top of a vintage laundry tub....
layers of white lovelies,
with cheerful embroidery..
a couple so frilly hankies...
Bright and fresh whites...
Today I am joining Kathleen
for White Wednesday
Thanks for joining me on laundry day!

Dearest Bella,
What a joy to see these images of my childhood... Yes, in the state of Washington that will be possible in summer; like in my birth country of the Kingdom of The Netherlands! The large tablecloth looks like having knitted lace edgings; very unusual as it often is crocheted lace. Tried to enlarge the images but that didn't help much. Love the hankies too. That little rack is so unique and perfect for small linens!
Thanks for sharing this and for bringing back fond memories...
Sunny greetings from Georgia/USA

Beautiful linens... !!! HHL
I love all your frilly linens! I have to get the hubs to hang a clothes line outside!
Oh how lovely! What a beautiful collection, and your photos are great!
Blessings, Doni
Normally I dry my things outside because I love the feel of the grass on my bare feet and the sunshiney warmth on my face and shoulders. Today, however, we had stormy weather---so the dryer was running!
I love to hang my sheets outside to dry..there is nothing like the smell of freshly laundered and air dried sheets on a bed. What lovely pieces you have and I love the old double wash tub.
Simply gorgeous! I can almost feel the breeze blowing through the line and the wind chimes too while your beautiful sheets air dry.
Fun, fun, fun! And really beautiful. Love your arty shots--JQ
Oh, there's nothing like fresh smelling laundry after it's been hanging on the line!
Fun pictures!
Happy White Wednesday!
So beautiful linens!

How I wish I had a closeline like yours Bella. We did purchase an accordian type that attaches to the brick wall outside the kitchen door and I'm happy to at least have it.
The new tablecloth is pretty as are all the rest of your linens. I like the way you caught the sunlight through the lace.

Oh how I love the smell of linens out to dry. Reminds me of my childhood. I love vintage doilies and tablecloths. Thanks for sharing. Good thing nobody has muddy hands to run thru your linens :)
Hi Bella,
Even your laundry looks beautiful :-)!
Lieve groet, Madelief
I've never wanted to do lined dry laundry until I saw your beautiful post (lol)! (thought to self) Wouldn't that just look so pretty hanging in my backyard somewher (hmmm)? ;o)
All of your linens are so beautiful! I LOVE that vintage laundry tub!! I've never seen one like that... LOVE it!

What beautiful linens. I line dry mine too. I recently purchased a very large antique drying rack at a yardsale for $1.00 and dry my smaller items on that. Thanks for sharing. You captured some beautiful pictures of your linens.
Hi Bella,
Great pictures....love your linens. Nothing like the smell of freshly line dried laundry.
Happy day!

Hi Bella,
I just love images of beautiful linens drying on the line! It reminds me so much of my childhood home, where the dryer was never used in summertime because everything was hung out on the clothesline--everything! We are not allowed to have clotheslines in the city limits where I live now. :-(
I have a small drying rack like yours that I use in our laundry room in the house for my vintage linens, but our yard is too "exposed" for me to put it outside and I'm afraid I'll get in trouble!
I love all your beautiful linens! If I close my eyes, I imagine I can smell their lovely sun-dried scent!
I so enjoyed visiting your site...

Hello, as always your blog is refreshing to the eye, your cloths are so beautiful, the air-dried cotton reminds me of the days when there was no dryer and saw the linen clothes lines full of drying in the sun. The different edges are so delicate lace, greetings Rose marie
Hi Bella,
Oh I love fresh linens and sheets on the line! Your linens are gorgeous! Ummmm, I can smell them now.

Bella - you brought back many fond memories to me today of helping my mother hanging clothes on the line when I was a child. She had those neat old clothespins (that I'm still on the prowl for...) that were a single piece of wood. I don't like the spring-type ones everyone has now.
Your linens are just breathtaking out there on the line. I could hear them snapping in the breeze sending the scent of lavender through the kitchen door.....mmmmmm!
Thank you for the memories today! Oh, and your new tablecloth is stunning!
