Summer Dining...

We broke eighty degrees for the first time today!

(click photos to enlarge)

So the time for outdoor dining
has finally arrived!

I set the table in the gazebo...

I planned on an all white table,
but I couldn't resist adding some pink:-)

an overview...

There are two small bouquets,
Feverfew and Ballerina Roses
in these tiny cement planters.

There is no silverware today.
I will be serving finger foods
for a lazy day nosh.

This tray will hold little sandwiches and crudites...

This bowl will hold a variety of fruits..

My Limoges bowl,
with it's dreamy little roses.
Will set in the center of the table
floating lemon slices and a couple fallen blossoms.

I love the smell of lemon...
Isn't it refreshing on a hot day?

After dinner it will be used as a finger bowl to freshen up
our sticky fruit fingers:-)

The napkins are vintage,
with sprigs of flowers as their only enhancement.

Setting the table is hard work..
for the dogs!

Twiggy felt the need for a sweet nap.

My dogs love to prop their heads up
on makeshift pillows while they sleep!
Do yours?

Cosmo on the other hand was full of puppy energy
and stole my seat!

I hope you are enjoying your day!

I am going to copy Twiggy
and take a nap in the gazebo:-)

Today I am joining
Susan at Between Naps on the Porch

Thanks for visiting me today!

Bella, you've set a pretty table! I love your pinks, whites, and flowers. So sweet and romantic! Here on the Island we have a temperature of 82.4 degrees fahrenheit with a humidex. It's warm here too! But it's summer, right? We here on the Island have been waiting for months for this so we try not to complain. Enjoy your evening.

What a pretty table you have set! I will be borrowing the idea of the lemon and water bowl - it looks so charming and serves as a great practicle solution for sticky fingers.

Your doggies are so sweet... our little Dolce, always tries to find a way to prop his little head. Its been too hot and humid to be outside here ... nopefully it will break soon. stay cool..HHL

You have the prettiest blog! And oh how I love this simple, soft tablescape. It's all lovely, but one of my favorite parts is that simple centerpiece in your gorgeous bowl. I love the floating lemons. I almost thought your first puppy dog was a fawn! :)

Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

Hiya Bella! Isn't it funny how an arrangement just takes off and does what it wants to? Your pinks look great! My favorite thing on the table is the way you have laid flowers on the wonderful vintage napkins. I would love sitting down to that. You have no idea how special it is to walk out your door and pick flowers! I took a walk today and took pictures of bindweed, thistle, corn, and gourd blossoms! No really! I just erased them all--haha! Nice to visit your table--Jacqueline

This is so beautiful. I'm so glad I saw your gadget with a photo of this past post since I didn't see it the first time. It's so serene. I love that your doggies snuggle in their new locale. What kind of dog is Twiggy? She reminds me of my Bedlington Terriers, but they have curly hair.
