Garden Rambling...

I have been rambling about the garden this week,
enjoying the burst of color our hot spell produced...

(click photos to enlarge)

An explosion of Neptune Roses....

One beauty singled out...

A floppy Tiffany Rose,
with white Phlox in the background...

A pair of Tiffany Roses..

The fresh beauty of the youthful bud,
next to the mature beauty of the Rose in full bloom...

More phlox,
with anemone of matching color..

According to Greek mythology,
the anemone sprang from Aphrodite’s tears
as she mourned the death of Adonis....

An old milk can of my side front porch...

paired with a Lace-Cap Hydrangea

The Hydrangea up close,
all the tiny green and blue buds waiting to burst open...

My Guadalupe Roses,
with a Pee Gee Hydrangea in the background.

On the little retaining wall
sits a double decker bird house,
which is a favorite abode of the tree frogs
that roam the garden.

 I am joining...

and

Come join in the fun!!

Thanks for visiting me today!

Dearest Bella,

I am wondering if your lacecap Hydrangeas are blooming this late? On June 15 I did my blog about 5 blooming Hydrangea varieties; at that time. That would be just LOVELY to enjoy them now, like the roses you show here. Ours might come back later as well, when it gets cool. They even bloom till mid December, depending when the first frost sets in.

Enjoy the remaining time of blossoms in your beautiful garden!

Greetings from Georgia,

Bella- How very beautiful! I love the flowers..and roses...and I, dummy that I am, forgot to say thank you ...thank you.... thank you for the poppy seeds. I did receive them and they are sitting right here on my desk. I think I need to wait until Spring to start them? I feel terrible for not thanking you before;<(

That being said...do you think you could come and plant them for me and maybe spend a month and just DO my whole garden in general? Just asking...don't get testy with me~

I love the lace cap hydrangea and I have to say that I also love phlox. I know that a lot of people complain about it because of the mildew...but I love it-absolutely love it!

I really like your old white milkcan. I have 2 of them now and need to get the black one repainted...it doesn't do a thing in black for me. Think I will steal the CREAM idea...how perfect is that- CREAM on a MILK can? Okay...I'm so tired I am slap happy...Good night! Diana

What gorgeous roses. For a moment I thought the first one was a Sterling Silver -- it's almost that color.

We have a kitchen backsplash giveaway that might be useful to you and would be a perfect S&T item. Please stop by our Giveaway Friday! Jane F.
