Temptation...

I spotted this trio of vintage bottles
at a thrift store
a couple days ago...

The price was a little too high,
so I left them behind....

(click photos to enlarge)

But... you know how nagging temptation is,
I had to give in.
(I never even made it all the way home).

Besides... it is a very nice thrift store
and the money goes to the local hospital,
so everyone is happy:-)

They are just seven inches tall
and hold five ounces of liquid...

,

The etching on these two match...

but with different rims...

and stoppers,
this stopper is my favorite of the group...

but.. this is my favorite bottle,
I love the simple silver ring around it's neck,
and the more elaborate etching...

I think these will end up in the bathroom,
on a tray
with scented bath oils :-)

Today I am joining

Cindy at My Romantic Home

and,
Claudia at Dipity Road

Thanks for stopping by,

A Floating Rose
just for YOU JQ :-)

Bella-What a beautiful find! I know the feeling...and sometimes walk away. I have even returned to find the "prize" gone and then berated myself for being so stupid. Yes, indeedy...been there/done that. I am glad you made the return trip because those were well worth it. Now, fess up...if you are married-did you tell your hubby how much you REALLY paid? lol Diana

Hi Bella, I would have snatched those lovely bottles right up if I had seen them :) So glad you hurried back to get them! I have on several occasions seen something that I think I want....leave the store....then be home and start kicking myself for not buying it. If I'm fortunate enough to find it still there the next time I go, then it was meant for me to have it....if it's not there, then it wasn't meant to be mine :( These are a great find!!

Warmest hugs, Brenda

MY GOODNESS! THANKS A LOT!! We should collaborate--you think Fed Ex would send your roses for all my posts? Or I could just tell you what I need for the day and put a link in the right place in my blog! Ha! What a fantastic vessel for your rose! Who WOULD be able to resist that gorgeous glass trio? Let's see, what do these things say about you? (See MY post for the meaning of THAT!)Your new blog partner, JQ

Dearest Bella,

That was quite a good reason for supporting the local hospital. The problem is not only the beauty on itself but you are one who sees already many possibilities beforehand and that you cannot suppress! Enjoy them...

Hi Bella, It is hard to resist that voice that keeps saying come and get me, I need to go home with you. Never happens to me, LOL. They are beautiful and will make a great addition to the bath filled with oils. Take care and have a wonderful weekend.

LOL! I so understand your predicament, Bella! Except that when I find things, I stash them under my arms one at a time til I can't hold any more because I don't want someone else to nab them from me....:) Bad. So bad....I have no willpower whatsoever. But what beautiful treasures you brought home! They will look beautiful in your bathroom!

Hi Bella
They are beautiful bottles and will look nice in your bathroom. I've learned that if it's something you really like, don't hesitate because you'll likely never see them again.
