Late Summer in the Garden...

A lazy late summers day,
perfect for a quiet stroll in the garden...

I couldn't resist a little photo play today
so I softened the edges with Picasa,
just a bit,
for a daydream effect :-)

Happy bees in the Toad Flax,
with a Rosy background...

Anemones leaning on the gazebo's rails...

Majestic Queen Elizabeth...

Wild Blue Yonder Roses
with Queen Elizabeth in the background...

Just like a meadow,
Cone flower and Toad Flax...

The Asters are almost ready for their time to shine...

Gertrude Jekyll
has been beautiful and loyal this year...

A variety of Heirloom Sweet Peas,
 leaning into the sunlight...

I think few things outshine
sunlit purple in the garden...

Today I am joining...

Thanks for coming along!

Oh Bella! Your flowers are so very beautiful! It would be hard to pick just one but I do love the Gertrude Jekyll and those sweet peas are lovely too. Wish I could see it in person...or that they made smellavision via the computer....oh...never mind...that might not be such a good option in some cases...but your garden? That would make for perfect viewing! xxoo Diana

Hi Bella,
Gorgeous!!!! Your flowers are always so pretty and I love your pictures. We don't have much blooming anymore here.
I love the Queen Elizabeth rose...I used to have one many years ago at a house I lived in for awhile.

Can't believe how beautiful your roses still are Bella. You and Carolyn Aiken posted with almost the same title; did you plan this? :-)
I've got to get back into my gardens to do some fall chores - don't want to be caught with an early freeze like a few years ago - my rain barrel froze solid and cracked.

Oh Bella,
I think where ever you are in Washington is the place to be to grow anything!! Your gardens are stunning and it's September for crying out loud!! Here in Kansas the humidity is still so high and things are curling up and drying. Mums are the items to take the spring/summer beauties place. I just can't believe how beautiful everything still is. You are so talented and good at your gardening. Just love to look at all your pictures!

What an absolutely lovely garden! I used to grow Toad Flax and I never knew the name, thanks for sharing that plant with us now I know!

Dear Bella,

Your garden is a joy to look at. All those pinks! There is still so much in bloom. In my garden it's only the Sedum, Cosmeas and Zinnias that have flowers. The other plants are already dissapearing. It won't be long before it's really fall. I try to go to our garden as often as possible, but the weather is horrible in Holland (high winds & rain).
Hopefully it's better in your part of the US.

Lieve groet, Madelief

ALL your flowers are gorgeous! I need to learn how to do the Picasa thing-I love the effect. Is is difficult to do? It needs to be simple or I'll be clicking the wrong thing. Thanks for sharing. ♥♫

Your garden is a sheer delight as mine once was before the drought.
Now at least I get to wander in yours at times.

Oh, I so miss my gardens! Thank you for the virtual walk in yours! I just got married in March and moved into a house my husband bought 10 years ago -- but he did almost no gardening, so it's going to be a few seasons before mine are "photgraphable". Thank you for sharing yours :-)
