The wind and rain stopped for today...
a little trip around the garden
was in order...
(click photos to enlarge)
There among all the falling leaves,
and yes mud...
Was one tiny Guadalupe Rose
the last for this season...
Her pink petals so soft and subtle...
I paired her with a sprig of Dusty Miller
it's soft silvery shade and velvet leaves
seemed just right....
The silver gave me an excuse
to play with my new faux mercury glass votive cups
(from Target only ninety-nine cents each!)
A tiny vignette of flowers
to gaze upon on the cool night ahead :-))
Tonight I am joining...
better late then never!

Sigh- The last rose of the season..and it pairs beautiful with dusty miller. I always put dusty miller in my window boxes with the soft pink geraniums and vinca vine & white petunias. For some reason this post reminds me of that. Beautfiul, as always-Hugs- Diana
What a lovely rose....I am afraid mine are all gone for this year, but I look forward to spring and their sweet return!
Isn't Dusty Mille a wonderful backdrop to so many pretty posies? I know I love it!

Oooooh! I have to get those votives! Did you buy them recently? That is so wonderful to still have roses. I picked the last of my dahlias (unless we get some warm days to bring out the buds).

What a pretty scene you've made. Love the dusty miller with that pale pink rose. Happy pink saturday!
Dusty Miller lends such a soft, wispy touch to any flower. But especially to the feminine rose. I noticed I still have some red roses left outside.
