Sneaking up on Me!

Halloween is sneaking up on me....

(click photos to enlarge)

Today I finally did a little decorating...

I covered the sideboard top in tattered gauze,
and began to haunt the house up a bit...

Crows are by far my favorite seasonal decor
full of whimsy
yet... just a little eerie....

I just picked up this too darling
paper mache witches shoe...

with it's glittery buckle...

These old dried white roses
scream Halloween to me....

 Itsy bitsy spiders
are always welcome tucked about the house :-)

Today I am joining..

Thanks for Visiting Me Today!

Well, speaking as another old crow... LOVE the witchy shoe! I think that's pretty much what I wear to work every day! I'm wondering if you've ever checked out Cottage Inspiration Lookbook. It's something I know you would love. I shoulda given you the link, but I did't think about it till now--It's on my sidebar. Hope you're good! JQ

Dearest Bella,

That crow looks SO real!
Thanks for the info about the special hummingbirds that reside during winter in your area. Need to study the site still... after the weekend. We're getting friends over on Saturday evening and they leave on Sunday after brunch. Nice dinner together at Ristorante da Maria, our favorite authentic Italian restaurant here. They just tonight got chosen as the small business of the year, by the Chamber of Commerce! We had a meeting and it was a fun evening.
You seem to be like me, not too much into the Halloween thing... It can get too much!
Depends also on how you are. We just had a funeral of a dear friend and than you're not as much into skulls and such!

Sunny greetings from Georgia,

I want to let Halloween sneak up on me next year instead of taking over the entire month. Love your witchy shoe. Very nice subtle Halloween.

Hi Bella
I enjoyed your Halloween decor and am glad you can get in the spirit to do this. Now that the grandchildren are older, I don't decorate any more, other than a big plastic ghost by the door outside that lights up.
The kitchen is nearing completion, should be painted tomorrow and then it's cleaning and putting everything back. Yipee!

Bella, you have a knack, and I love it!
Your crow reminded me of a happeninig a few years ago. A crow with a pebble in its mouth came pecking at my window every morning between 6 and 6:30 a.m. This went on for about a week. I didn't mind being woke up,but
feared he would break the window,
I frightened him away and he never came back. I regretted it afterwards. Perhaps he simply saw his reflection, but it creeped me out just a little. But, I still love crows...spiders not so much.

The spider made me shiver. That is spooky. I think that will be nice for the Halloween.

Ooohhh.. that shoe is too pretty! So different from everything I usually see. I like the contrast of the black with your ivory accents. Very nice!
