Don't Forget the Big Guy...

Do you wonder where I have been all week?

(click photos to enlarge)

Right after Thanksgiving
I told you I had brought home a new project...

Well, it would be insane to start it right before Christmas
but... I seem to have a problem with patience...

See my house may be very old
but it is fireplace challenged...

Of course I haven't really finished my project
and I'll share the completion with you
in the next couple weeks..

For now...
I am thrilled to have a place to hang my stockings...

Have you been naughty or nice?

Don't forget to bribe leave cookies out for the big guy tonight!

May your Christmas be filled with magic
and all your dreams come true!

Merry Christmas!

I am joining...

 Beverly for Pink Saturday

Merry Christmas!

Dearest Bella,

Good for you that you have a place to hang your stockings! A fireplace is the heart of a home; isn't it? Yours looks already great and you will enjoy this further.

Beautiful Bella! I have borrowed so many of your decorating ideas to brighten my darker home. I still love deep muted reds and antique furnishings, but when I see your light and bright style, it makes me want to change everything. That would be impossible for me to acomplish, so a little bright spot here and there will have to do. Thank you for sharing your beautiful ideas.

Hi Bella
Fireplace challenged.....hmm, looks like you overcame this obstacle with style.
Some of the nicest mantles are faux and something I've seen here that I'll pass along is to use a row of gel candles (gel in a can that burns clean for indoors) behind a little fire screen and it looks amazing.
Looking forward to your completed project.
Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas bella Bella! Such clever followers you have! I peeked in on your Christmas cookies last night and looks like somebody has been busy with baking--and I can see how much you're loving your new fireplace! I have lived in only one place that didn't have one, and I was even thinking of getting one for the shop. I have the mantle, but want the heat and flame to go with it! There are so many options. I think it's JUST what you need for your damp winter! We have family coming and going, but had a quiet morning (yay). Hope you're having a wonderful time! Love J.

I love your creative spark. The fireplace looks wonderful. I like someone who sees or feels a need and then just goes for it, which is what you did. Hurrah!
