A Late Christmas Present...

Silently my most desired Christmas wish arrived,
a little late...

(click photos to enlarge)

In the wee hours of morning,
a light dusting of wet snow...

I, like a child on Christmas morning, couldn't sleep...

I had to silently explore
the twinkle and magic
that only snow can create...

A few scatterings of Christmas lights on the patio
enhanced the magic...

This is the King Edward Red Flowering Currant Bush
you can see it already is forming flower buds for spring..

It will bloom in February
and be a major source of food
for our winter hummingbirds
(if you missed that post and would like to see the
Anna's Hummingbird in the snow

The trees in the park across the street
flocked to perfection:-)

I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays?

I miss you all so much!
This is the one time of the year Mike is home for
a couple weeks of vacation time,
we have been having so much fun doing... NOTHING!

I am joining..
Faded Charm for White Wednesday
A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday

Thanks for spending time with me today,

Wow, that tree looks amazing with the snow and lights on it. If I was feeling better I'd get out there and take some photos. Unfortunately, I have a chest cough.

I'm glad you are enjoying lots of time with your hubby. :)

Dearest Bella,

That photo from below the twigs, with the moon above in that tiny cloud is precious. I can see you sitting there, cold but HAPPY with this 'catch'!

Enjoy your time with Mike; it is all about Family this time of the year. Get cozy and love your time being HOME TOGETHER!

Bella, Love the pictures of the snow ladden trees. Can't wait to see your trees in flower in February, we are still in the middle of winter then. Your flowers will brigthen a northern gardeners' heart. Have a wonderful New Year.

Wasn't the snow a nice surprise? I'm going to have to check my King Edward, I planted one last summer and can't wait to see flowers on it. The hummingbirds already fight over the Pink Flowering one.

Hi Bella
Your yard looks so pretty with the snow and it does add a whole new dimension, doesn't it?
Hope you have a great time while Mike is home, whether relaxing or going out for lunch like we've been doing. Also, a lot of nothing too and I love it!
Happy New Year to both of you.

I'm happy your wish came true! We had snow for three hours yesterday (Shoreline/Lake Forest Park) but none of it lasted on the trees like this.

Happy New Year!
