It is time to smell the roses
and the pine...

I love the combination...
With Christmas Eve only a week away,
it's time to fill my house with fragrance..
It's the icing on the cake...
I built a traveling centerpiece
on a silver tray...
Perfect to keep close by
through all the activities of the weekend...
I tucked mercury glass votives in
among the bits of pine,
warming and freeing its scent...
The beauty of roses and candlelight
may seem cliche...
But really it can't be beat...
The ethereal glow
a place to find quiet peace....
Before the rush of last minute holiday chores...
Don't forget to take time
to smell the roses :-)

Bella, you design the most romantic vignettes
and I can only imagine how wonderful the roses and pine smell together.

I love the smell of both these myself. That is why we always had a real tree for the smell.

I LOVE mauve flowers, I seem to always be adding something mauve to my gardens! These roses and the silver tray are exquisitely beautiful and it must smell like heaven!
