Crocus and Croissants in Bed...

I shared with you yesterday
how my Crocus have begun to bloom...

(click photos to enlarge)

Having a bit of spring in the air....

inspired me to build a bright and cheery
breakfast in bed tray...

a tiny urn of Crocus is the star of the show...

Raspberries speak of warm days
and will help to build the illusion of spring...

because in truth it is still very cold in the mornings...

fresh fruit and flaky croissants
are a natural pair...

and also a no fuss nosh...

mixed vintage silver and napkins
keep it elegant but casual...

it feels good to lounge and dream of spring
for just a bit...

More winter weather is sure to be here soon!

This morning I will be joining,
and

Thanks for joining me for breakfast :-)

Dear Bella,

What a delicious looking breakfast. The crocuses are just the finishing touch. It's good to see that spring has already arrived in your part of the US. It's still only little sprigs in Holland!!

Enjoy!

Lieve groet, Madelief

With a breakfast tray set like that, there would be no need to get up. This on a balcony as the sun rises! Yup, I'm there!

Your post brought such a memory to me. I was traveling home from Burkina Faso and stopped over in Paris for a few days. We stayed at a very small hotel. At 6 a.m. I was awakened by a loud rapping on the main door downstairs. Soon, the hotelier opened the door and let the person in. Almost immediately the smell fresh baked goods filled the hotel. It was the baker from across the street come round to deliver fresh Crossants. Ahhh, I have never before or since tasted such a delicious croissant. They also had fresh orange marmalade. magnificent! Thanks for this post.
