Simple Spring Bouquet..

On Valentines day my sweetie and I
usually go to garden nursery's
and look for new rose bushes...

This year I was lucky and found tulip bulbs,
on clearance from last fall...

They were wintered well
so I scooped them up...

With a bit of spring in the airtoday
I finally planted them,
 in the front porch bed...

(click photos to enlarge)

and while I was at it...

I picked a simple spring bouquet
for my kitchen window...

I love to keep flowers on my kitchen windowsill
it makes doing the dishes much more pleasurable :-)
The bouquets are never fancy..

Just little flowers
who are the causalities of pruning or thinning..

but still deserve to be adored...

I said we had a bit of spring today...

You can see my old rusty thermometer
peaked out at over 50 degrees...

Ha...
Half of you wish it was 50 degrees at your house today,
I saw the other half of you shiver :-))

The promise of spring lies in the bud...

My sweet blogging friend Marianne
wrote me and asked to borrow a photo from my blog.
She used it today
in her lovely poem of spring..
perfectly named
SWEET SPRING
Pop by and say hi to Marianne

stop by for a bit of Pink!

Thanks for visiting me today...

Hi Bella, I always have something on my window. For the last couple of months it's just been cuttings, but I love looking at them there.

Such a beautiful post! I love the way your faceted vase photographs. I'm so into cut glass lately. And these are your signature colors. I hardly ever have the lavenders for some reason, but when I come across them I think "Bella would like this." I wondered what that 'water' view actually was too! We may have higher temps here, but YOU'RE the one with the blooms! xx

Hi Bella
A very simple bouquet like the one on your window sill is just as nice and gives the same lift as an expensive one from the florist.
Unfortunately, I'm one of people still shivering but I love looking at your flowers until mine are ready.
Hugs,
Judith

The bouquet is delightful and an absolute inspiration to me here in the west of Ireland, though the variety of Spring flowers I have to choose from may be quite different!
