Welcome to May!

After what has gone on record as being
the coldest April ever in Seattle....

It is a relief to welcome in May....

and a beautiful day of blue skies...


I spent the day trying to catch up,
in the garden...
I brought along my camera to share a bit
with you...

this is another part of the little trail in the back garden.
it makes a V right after the bench
 and cuts back to the right...

I showed you photos of that trail covered in English Daisies
last week....

This path is moss on one side and Violets on the other,
though the Violets spread onto the other side...

that is the joy of a casual cottage garden,
a lack of control
can create it's own beauty...



The rabbit wanted to play dress up...


a wreath of Bridal Spirea in her hare (:-)...

Your pitures are as beautiful as always...and I have always loved that poem by A.Bronte. We have had the coldest (and most snow) ever recorded for April here too. Our grass is green but nothing is blooming yet. I am so anxious this year for Spring! xxoo Diana

Hi Bella,
How pretty! I love all the violets tumbling over the path. We've had the coldest spring since 1996 here in WI! I can't believe it; we don't even have leaves on the trees yet!
Here's hoping that soon we'll get some nice weather and I can start sharing my garden again!

I hope May brings warm weather here too although cooler days have been a bonus for working in the garden.
The rabbit looks cute with flowers wrapped around her ears, adds a touch of whimsy to the garden.

Your garden looks beautiful and I love an English garden. We enjoyed the tulips and daffodils here in N FL a couple of months ago. I am always intrigued to see others gardens and see what is blooming at different times than I experience it. Not long ago I placed an order online at Beechers Cheeses in Seattle. They have the most amazing cheeses, are you familiar with them?
