Gathering on the First Day of Summer...

At long last the first day of summer!

and bright blue skies,
I may add....

(click photos to enlarge)

a day to gather..

roses...

to celebrate their beauty...

by the basket full....

a day to savor the sweetness
of the first strawberry of the season....

a day to stop and admire,
the droplets of morning dew gathered on it's leaves...

a day to smell the sweet grass...

to bury your nose right in it!

a day to make simple lazy bouquets
from the harvest...

a day to soak it all in....

I am joining...
and

Thanks for stopping by...

I so enjoyed the pics of your roses. I grow heirloom varieties and David Austins. Love the heirloom look that they have, such a romantic look to those special blooms.

Such gorgeous eye candy! Beautiful flowers, beautiful photos, beautiful arrangements! I came by via Susan's party, but I missed it myself. I took pics of my pergola all dressed up this afternoon (with the 2 hour lull in the rain), and I REALLY hope you'll stop by and take a peak, and let me know what you think of the progress! :)

Dear Bella, your garden is looking amazingly beautiful these days and all your roses are sooooo wonderful!!!
Wish we could have as much as rain you have in your pacific northwest side, as you said in your previous post... we are in winter time and it has rained so few, I´m really worried about this situation here in our southpacific side of the world... gardens get much better with lots of water!!!
lots of hugs to you my dear and always admiring your lovely garden and home
