Meet the Girls...

If you have been reading my blog for awhile
you probably know,
I am a big dog lover....

I have four Italian Greyhound boys,
but last year I sadly
I lost two of my old dogs...

So even though I still have a big pack
it's been a little quiet,
and Cosmo my youngest boy has been lonely
for a young playmate...

we have been on the fence about buying a new puppy
for months...

(click photos to enlarge)

today we took the plunge,

and brought home TWO baby GIRLS...

I am no longer alone in a house full of testosterone :-)

meet Daisy....

and meet Iris...

we had a really hard time finding a local breeder,
and ended up going all the way to Portland
(3 + hours)

It was a long ride
and the girls didn't enjoy their first ride....

but they enjoyed playing in the veggie garden
(the only grass I have)...

 I learned,
I need to practice to take action shots,
not just still life.....

they thought about all the new things they were seeing....

there was some obvious confusion....

this... well it's just a CRAZY photo!!
It looks like their inner devils popped out!!!!

mostly it has been a day of sweetness :-)

little is more fun than summer puppies...

I am showing off my new cottage residents...

Thanks for stopping by....

Both Daisy and Iris are beautiful. They remind me of my chihuahua Holly. She's full of energy like that too, which was a shock since we have 2 senior dogs. If you were telling my dad about your ride, he would tell you about when we went to get Holly in the state next to ours....and literally we drove across the mountain and in the snow.

I'm sure you're like me and think your long drive was worth it!

Hi Bella!
Firstly I am so sorry for the loss of 2 of your babies last year!
Our Maxxie passed a month ago and our Dittos and Bailey in the last couple years so it is way too quite and lonely around our house with no dogs.
Your 2 new girls are the cutest sweethearts and I know your house is filled with furry joy! Is there anything more fun than a puppy?? Even better - 2 puppies!
I love your photos and most especially the happy dance one HA! That funny smile on has me laughing!
Thanks so much for sharing Daisy and Iris - they are surely going to keep your boys on the toes!
Poochie Smootches,
Lynn

Hi Bella, I'm so sorry about your other 2 dogs that you lost last year, I know how much that hurts, these 2 new babies are so adorable and so so cute. I love their names, do you remember me posting about my rescue dog Star, well I named one of her puppies Daisy.... and I will be sharing a story about her soon, only this story has a good ending, unlike Star! Have fun playing with your fur babies!
hugs~~ Daphne

Hi Bella! What little beauties your new gals are! I didn't realize what a houseful you had before. You must have the patience of a saint! Those little faces are as pretty as your garden flowers! I'm your newest follower! I somehow missed "following" a ton of my favorite blogs early on. Sorry. xx

I have an Italian Greyhound named Ophelia that could be Daisy and Iris's sister! I love her like crazy, but I don't know how you can handle 2 IGs with that much energy! Your puppies are beautiful, congrats!

What gorgeous pups and wonderful photos of them.

I am enjoying my Sunday afternoon (its pouring with rain) but I am relaxed in front of my fire and enjoying your blog. I love your blog Bella, such an inspiration and so fresh and pretty to look at, I am forgetting about all the heavy rain outside.
