Falling for Fall...

Are you falling for fall?
I am seeing so much beautiful inspiration
on all your blogs!!

But,  fall is slow to arrive here..
our leaves have yet to even begin to change...

still I have the itch to begin,
a new season...

so I like the season am changing,
slowly...

(click photos to enlarge)

Like all my inspiration,
fall is about nature...

I have an Oak Leaf Hydrangea in my front garden,
I use it to hide my gas meter...

I have never paid it too much attention,
but this year I added a few of it's blooms to a bouquet....

only to learn they dry perfectly,
in the softest shade of cream...

I was eager to bring out my felt acorns,
which were an early spring antique store purchase,
and haven't been enjoyed fully yet....

the caps are real acorns
while the nut is white felt....

Do you remember my Lavender Wreath?
(if not it is on my left sidebar...)

I thought I would share a pic of it now that's it's dry...

I love the little dried roses....

Silver!
I love silver in the fall,

in all it's tarnished perfection....

the soft warm glow...

maybe I will polish it at Christmas :-)

Today I am joining...
and

Thanks for stopping by....

A beautiful post, Bella. We haven't really seen the changes here yet either. We had a late start to Summer and then it was hot and wet! I just dragged out some of my Fall things today. I guess it is coming whether I am ready or not. I love your lavender wreath- it is beautiful. xo Diana

Hello Bella,
Here in CA, we will have summer weather for at least one more month. But I am looking forward to cooler autumn days.
Your lavender wreath looks great even dried. The hydrangea is very lovely too.

I've never heard of Oak Leaf Hydrangeas, but I LOVE the way the blooms look, and the color of course. Your wreath is just as gorgeous! And your silver photos are yummy! Makes me want to get mine out! It's MUCH cooler now. Lovely cool nights and mornings, but still hot afternoons. Fall is beautiful in NM!

Don't rush into fall, it'll be there soon enough! For me, it's come too quickly here in Central England....and we are expecting a long, harder Winter than the last two!

Love the Hyrangea and especially the lavender and rose wreath.

Bella I love the silver just the way it is, tarnished. I never thought I would but I do especially the way you display them. Your Hydrangers are lovely too, we only get ordinary ones here. Enjoy your day xx

Your lavender wreath is a stunner! Great job creating it, Bella. We are seeing a few signs of fall including 40s to 70s vs the 90s. I love summer, I love fall, but what comes after fall, I can do without...we need to just enjoy each day, though, for every day is a gift.

Lovely easing into fall decorating. Dried hydrangeas are always so lovely. I went full throttle and dug everything out and despite the weather, it is fall at my house. I was hoping to do a blog post about it but just haven't had the time this week. Lovely inspiration Bella!
