Hellos and Goodbyes...

Hello to snow!
are you ready for snow?

we have had a light dusting of snow the last few nights,
just a teaser...

our elevation is only 180' above sea level,
so this morning we took a drive to the local hills...

this old one lane wooden bridge
in Carbanado, WA
 is always beautiful..

today it was a winter wonderland...

are you dreaming of a white Christmas?

it's probably not hard to guess,
I am not a big fan of fall...

I love the brilliance of the colors,
but reds and oranges aren't on the top
 of my favorite color list...

but I LOVE snow!

Hello Winter!

then there are the goodbyes,
the snow brings...

the last of the roses were gathered today...

if anyone is keeping track:-)
The David Austins were the last blooms..
Gertrude Jekyll, Harlow Carr and Scepter'd Isle...

and for anyone who is really keeping track,
Gertrude was the first and last to bloom...
(she is the pair of blooms on the bottom left)

remnants of summers blooms
at their feet...

"Good Night, Good night!
Parting is such sweet sorrow,
that I shall say good night till it be morrow."

Today I am joining...
and

Thanks for stopping by...

Wow, Bella --- those winter photos are just stunning! Right out of a mag!!! It ALMOST makes me like to see snow. lol! I'm a great fan of the autumn weather, but truly don't like to see snow from January on. It's ok for December, but then I could kick it to the curb. hehehe! I'm missing the color and fragrance of my garden already. *sigh*....It's gonna be a lonnnng winter..... :)

Hello Bella,
Those winter pictures are gorgeous. Here in CA I don't get to see such views. That's a minus. But we have lots of color and sunshine in winter too, that's a plus.
Your last bouquet of roses is very lovely. I picked a few roses from my yard today too.

Hi Bella,

It does look like a winter wonderland! Beautiful photographs. We don't have bridges like that in Holland.

So sorry you won't be able to enjoy the beauty of your roses now. I already miss mine :-)

Happy weekend!

Madelief x

Hi Bella
Beautiful pictures. Winter snow pictures are really so beautiful aren't they...as long as it doesn't all hang around trying to beautify us tooooo long. A change in season is nice however. Your roses are beautiful..just beautiful. When is the right time to cut back roses? How do you prepare them for winter?

Dreaming of a white Christmas? I like to think thats why we have winter.. :o)

Love David Austen roses, yours are stunning. Also love snow and we already have lots. I am in South-central Canada and although we had a wonderful Fall, the snows have been coming for the past two weeks. I have joined your followers list and would love to have you to join me as well. Hugs, Gayle

Hello! . . . Your snow pictures are nothing less than magical! What a beautiful scene. Nothing like snow to get you in a Christmas mood! Your rose picture is beautiful too. You have so many it must feel like a real loss when they go away for awhile. I went to the nursery yesterday and there was NOTHING there. Time for us all to batten down and keep the homes fires burning! Have a nice Thanksgiving! Goodbye! . . .
