So,
where have I been?
I have been bitten by the painting bug,
anything in my way should be afraid :-)
I painted my bedroom,
I gave you a peak and will show you more soon...
I painted the dining room,
I am starting on the foyer
and stairs,
but mostly I am painting the woodwork
and it is time consuming!
in the middle of my painting frenzy,
I bought a new chandelier...
from Home Depot...
it is the Heritage 6 style,
and available ONLY on-line,
I learned this after visiting three stores...
I painted it antique white....
and distressed it....
in past posts I have shown you
how I created drips on the candles of chandeliers
using a glue gun
this time I just dragged a small paint brush
along the edge of the "candle stick"
and let it drip...
here is the new dining room paint color,
it's Martha Stewart Orchid,
the paint is Behr one coat premium...
I think the first few pics show it a bit better
then these last pics,
lighting has been horrible on this gloomy day...
I am so excited to have the archway
between the rooms white!!!
when I moved here
I never thought I would paint the woodwork,
but I couldn't be happier...
the rooms feel twice as big and so fresh and clean...
you can see the color is similar to the parlor color
but the dining room is a brighter and less subdued shade,
I just couldn't catch it with the camera today...
here is a link to the old color...
I had to share a pic
of my faithful painting companion Berry,
he celebrated his twelfth birthday this week...
He is, by the way,
sitting on my favorite settee...
With paintbrush in hand,
I have been eyeing it all week,
so far I lack courage...
But, I know it WILL be gorgeous in white :-)
Happy Monday!
Today I am joining,
and
Thanks for stopping by today...

I have that chandelier! I love it--the price is sure right. In my home I kind of like the aged iron look it comes with but it looks great white too so I may have to change mine up someday too!

It looks so beautiful Bella!
Our previous home had beautiful natural wood trim from the 30's. We loved it.
When we moved to our current home, it had terrible trim so my husband reproduced the style of our old trim and we painted it all white! It's perfect! It looks just like yours! Though our colors are a bit more bold, ;)
Deanna
Breathtaking!

Just yesterday I was thinking about you wondering what your current home-improvement project is. And today's post is the answer.
Your new chandelier is gorgeous. Looks perfect in your beautiful dinning room.
You certainly have been busy! I love your new paint colour in the dining room and all your white trim looks fresh. It is such a chore to paint too! I love that you found the perfect chandelier and weren't afraid to paint it. It looks fabulous!
You have been very busy...I love all you've done...we have all white woodwork and I love it...everything so fresh and clean and bright!
Hello Bella
You have been a busy lady! I like the woodwork painted white and I think the settee will look nice in the same colour.
The chandelier is a pretty one and now that you've painted it, even better.
Judith
Dear Bella:
It all looks like a beauteous Bed and Breakfast. Love it. Wish your painting bug would rub off on me. My dining room is crying to be done over. I can see how that settee would be fab painted over white. It would bring out all the ornate beauty but I'd be chicken too ;)
Happy B'day to Berry.

Bella your home is so beautiful, I love it all and the chandelier looks amazing antique white,xx
time to paint here too but I'm lost in colors
Love the chandelier! I've been thinking about painting the ceiling fan in our dining room, but so far have left it alone. But I just can't get the idea out of my head... (Jim for whatever reason doesn't want to replace it with the chandelier I brought from my house.)
I think that settee would look wonderful painted white!!!
Hiya Bella! Your rooms are looking beautiful! Love your new white chandelier! Christmas is going to be gorgeous at your place!

So beautiful! Love the chandi.
I have an old brass chandelier that I'm about to redo but I couldn't decide if I wanted black or white.....after seeing yours, it's definitely going to be white! I hope mine turns out half as lovely as yours!!!
I love what you did with that chandelier! I can understand your reluctance to paint ~ but everything looks fantastic! Give sweet Berry a big kiss from me.
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
