A Constant Snow...

The fickle snow of yesterday,
turned to a constant snow overnight...

a bajillion snowflakes fell...

each flake so minuscule,
it looked more like  a soft fog,
than snow...

the world was blanketed in a soft hush...

our patience paid off...

a world in white...

not much use for a sun dial today...

snow softly covered the icy edges
of the koi pond...

from above,
you can just make out
the ghostly shapes of the koi...

this was the girls first snow...

big brother Cosmo led the way..

Iris was first to explore..
sniffing...

before long she was frolicking...

but,
soon decided it wasn't tasty...

Daisy joined in...

in case you are wondering
where the three older boys are...

they made a mad dash for the couch,
when they spotted the snow...

romping in unison...

I thought I would share a few pics
of the valley,
on my drive into the store...

in the end,
Iris joined Randy and Berry
on the couch...

but,
kept a close eye on the snow,
and all the birds that came in for seed and water...

Aren't Robins
a sign of spring?

Today I am joining...
and

Stay Warm!

I love your pictures, Bella. What building is that second picture? Is that behind your house or across the street or something? It is a beauty...and your house, of course, is just gorgeous dusted with snow.

I love the pictures of you "babies" playing and I have that same quilt that you have on your sofa. My own is just the twin size and I use it on SweetCheeks little bed. I have the two shams that match, too. I looked all over for more pieces but have never seen them. Don't you love it? I love the reverse side, too.

Your garden and valley shots are awesome. xo Diana

Bella it looks so pretty there! It looks like your dogs really enjoyed the snow. How do you ever manage 5 dogs in the house?? LOL

Such a magical winter wonderland you're living in for the moment. Beautiful!
I always thought Red Robins were typical for winter time, probably from their appearance on christmas cards...

The snow looks so pretty! I wish we would get some!
The dogs look like they had a wonderful time exploring and playing in the snow. What joy was on their faces.
Robins can stay year round, they are especially drawn to water. They love dried fruit if you want to keep them around!

Really enjoyed your beautiful pictures. No snow to speak of here this year..missing it a little, if it is cold it might as well snow.
Wonderful pics of your pups!

ahhhh.....seeing all the pictures made me want one day of snow, lol. It is going to be in the 20's here tonight but in the 60's in the day and later this week in the 70's! It has been a very strange winter here in SC and I doubt if we will even get a flurry this year.

I was told some Robin's stay behind and are our winter Robin's. I feel bad as they only eat bugs and worms, and we cant provide for them. I'm sure when spring is here they are in need of food. Wish I could provide for them.
Your photo's are beautiful.

Hi Bella,
Love your winter pictures!!! The dogs looked like they had some fun with the snow, but probably liked the couch better (me too!)!

Hi Bella
I love photos of garden elements settled with snow, there's still interest during this season.
The kids look like they had fun in the snow and the girls have such a pretty colouring.

Looks so beautiful and ethereal, bet it's not easy to live in such cold weather though. I live in Australia and right now we are in the middle of summer. Thanks for posting.

What wonderful pictures. And I love how casually you mentioned going to the store in the snow. We complain if we have to drive in the RAIN (:

Lovely, lovely photos of the snow. I love thick, fresh snow, but hate it when it becomes icy & slushy. The dogs in the snow is great, the look of curiosity, then turning to playtime as they see your other dog playing and they know it's safe & fun.

OMGoodness, your garden is even more stunning in the snow, if that is even possible! I love how the snow accentuates your structures. Thanks so much for posting your lovely photos!

Bella, it is snowing outside as I write this. Somehow, it wouldn't be a proper winter without it.

Hello Bella, I miss the serenity ,peace and beauty of a snow covered landscape. If we get snow here it is rare - I love the photos of your dogs romping in the snow! they're adorable! The picture of your dog perched on the top of the couch reminds me of our Dachshund - she does that and we say - 'you're not a real dog!' Cats do that - obviously she's not alone! There are a lot of birds chattering this morning - I saw a blue bird, house wrens and sparrows - always thrilling - they know it is supposed to rain later - spring is coming! Thank you for sharing with Home and Garden Thursday!
I hope you have a blessed weekend,
Kathy

Your garden looks lovely with its covering of white - we haven't had any snow yet this winter. I enjoyed those photos of your dogs playing - my dog loves the snow and always gets very giddy when he goes out in it.
Hopefully Blogger is behaving today and this comment will appear properly.
