The Old, the New and the Now?

Keeping old bits from the garden
around the house in the winter is the normal,
around here anyway...

I especially like petals scattered
around candles...

memories of days gone by,
a romantic nod to the past...

a few fresh new blooms
tucked in around the house
add life to a winters day...

how can you not
feel the warm sun on your face
when you inhale...

as for the now..

is it spring already?
have I overslept?

or are they teasing us...

the stores are rolling out the racks,
cyclamen,  pansies and primroses...

too tempting not to indulge a bit...

when really
I am still hoping for snow!

Happy

Have a Great Weekend!

I is not supposed to be spring yet, but we had 75 degrees today. It will not last. At least, I got the yard cleaned up. I enjoyed seeing all your various pinks.

Look at your darling princess bunny! She certainly looks springy with the cyclamen in that gorgeous little pot. I had the thought today that we would have an early spring. But that's probably just because it's so pretty. Spring can actually be nasty here, so I shouldn't hope for that! But I can enjoy your beautiful post!

Absolutely beautiful. My husband called me on his way home tonight and asked what color of roses I would prefer. I wish every question was that easy. ;)

I'm so happy to see that you keep your dried flowers out all winter too. To me they are as pretty as the fresh flowers...sometimes prettier.
And speaking of pretty, Daisy and Berry are the loveliest girls. Oh it make me miss my sweet whippet Desi.

Beautiful post. It's been like Spring around here for the last few days and it's been really nice, but looking forward to more cold weather next week. We had such a hot summer last year, so I'm loving the cold for now!

No snow!
LOVE the tiara on the bunny!
In your first pic, what is that cute little piece that looks like a mini hand held mirror? I want one!
I've been MIA for a bit but I am almost back to normal (whatever THAT is) and hope to visit you and all my other favs more often! Looking forward to the coming months filled with beauty and inspiration!

Love the little bouquets scattered around. I chatted with a man in an antique store up on the plateau today, he is a retired meteorologist and said we have a new weather pattern coming in bringing snow to the mountains and maybe the low lands. Who knows...maybe? We can hope!

Hi Bella,
I just ordered my DA catalog. I can't wait!
Thank you for mentioning it in your previous post.

I am still holding on to our little bit of cool weather that we have left. It is flying by.
