Yellow....

Yellow,
isn't a color I am drawn to
too easily...

give me the
peacefulness of quiet white,
the magic of purple,
or well, the pink of roses...
any day

but,
in the early spring...

when the big yellow orb in the sky
is playing cat and mouse behind the clouds,
I crave yellow...

the only yellow flowers
in my garden
are these tete daffodils

they trumpet in the spring...

a fat yellow stripe
on a teacup
oozes spring cheer...

the only yellow orb around here today
is floating in my tea :-)

a cup of sunshine...

Today I am sharing tea at...
and
I am joining the fun at

Thanks for stopping by...

Dear Bella,
Hi! Those tiny daffodils are so beautiful and delicate. They are like a bit of sunshine. I love the pictures with the bunnies marching in the background.
Wonderful post to welcome spring!

Bella: I have to say I like yellow any time of year but there is something about the spring yellows that are brighter and worm their ways into our hearts more so than other seasons. I guess it's because we need some sunshine, any way we can get it, after a long white winter.Happy Monday..Judy

Hello Bella
I find light shades of yellow appealing and had our LR and DR painted in buttercream. Yellow flowers are a colour that seem to glow on an overcast day so I use them a lot.
My tetes are the only daffodils in bloom right now too and I love their dainty little cups.
Your teacup is pretty.

I am not a huge yellow fan either. But I too am drawn to the sweet daffodils popping up in the yard. When pink roses start blooming I will be really happy!

Only you could make me appreciate yellow this way. The color on the stripe on the teacup is pure delight, as are your posts, you really know how to capture the essence of the seasons and the flowers with your photos...

Sometimes yellow is the most wonderful color! I'm thinking of a bowl of lemons or a field of daffodils. Your teacup is beautiful too! Linda

Very cute teacups. Still do not have my daffodils come up from the earth. But I buy them at the flower shop. I wish you many wonderful tea moments of the week! Zinnia

Lovely photos. Yellow is a colour I like but I prefer the softer shades usually. At this time of year though a burst of strong yellow from forsythia and daffodils and Jew's Mallow really lifts the spirits though and we are fortunate in having a lot of sunshine at the moment to make things even better.

So pretty Bella. I agree with what you said. I think I do my share of unnecessary spending in the spring because yellow and green both scream at me due to the lack of color all winter.
Love your teacup and tiny daffodils.

Hi Bella,
Your daffodils are so sweet and so is your vintage cup!
I love a soft yellow myself, I guess because I find it to be such a cozy colour. The teacup looks especially pretty sprinkled with little roses with the lemon floating in your tea. Thank you for sharing with us. Wishing you a delightful day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Bella,

A beautiful teacup with pretty daffodils. It wouldn't be spring without them!

Beautiful photos, Bella! I tend to prefer pinks, violets and ivories, too; but in spring the yellow of daffodils and forsythia is such a welcome sight after the grey and brown of winter. I hope you're enjoying the spring where you are!
