We have been having a much warmer
and much dryer spring
than usual...
the garden is moving
much faster than me...
I can hardly keep up!
wanna take a stroll
on a sunny day?
(Yep, another sunny day, I could get use to this!)
a view from above...
the Lilacs are in full bloom...
you can just see the first blooms
on the Crab Apple in the foreground..
the Tulips are fading...
the Woody Hyacinths
are filling in...
tender Deutzia blooms...
the FIRST ROSE!
Therese Bugnet unfurled today,
beating out my old reliable English Lady
Gertrude Jekyll by a few days...
she is but a tiny thing,
but it is wonderful to inhale her perfume...
Cosmo has been busy exploring the overgrown bog...
Iris has earned the nickname Mouse,
because her ears are usually BOTH inside out...
Daisy has been loving watching the fish...
or maybe her own reflection?
(Iris, Randy, Daisy, Berry)
most of all
they love sunbathing...
I haven't even put the nice covers
on the ugly cushions yet...
the Akebia is dangling and twining
over the bench swing...
it's subtle flowers in bloom...
It's going to fast!
I want to bottle it up :-)
Today I am joining...
and
Thanks for strolling with me today...

Pretty nice! And so exotic. I've never heard of half those names. Your grounds are really beautiful. I think you have a full time job here. Two, if you count those pups!
Great pictures of your dogs:) Your garden looks so pretty, I'd love a few warm sunny days but so far this Spring all we've had is rain and low temps!
Your flowers look so pretty--love it. The dogs sunbathing is adorable!
Too fast there, much too slow here. We've had so much rain these last months. The garden looks like a swamp. It's been much too cold for spring and everyone is ill or at least not feeling all that well. We're in desperate need of some sun.
I do enjoy your summerlike pictures even more now. So many beautiful sunny colours. A dream.
Bye,
Marian
Beautiful gardens! We are way behind you with lots of cold and windy days. Such a joy to view your post.
Nancy
Your gardens are so pretty. Lucky you getting all the sunshine and warmth. I love the photo of all 4 dogs resting in the sun on the settee. They are really adorable pups! Enjoy your spring. It does slip by fast.
I love "wandering" this way through your garden, Bella, and watching as your flowers change and bloom and fade. Wishing you many happy hours there!
Hello Bella
I like the way your photos are nice and soft looking, like the flowers in the garden.
Would you say you're 3-4 weeks ahead as we are? A strange thing with this weather, here the majority of tulips did not appear. Many gardeners are saying the same thing, the daffodils did but the tulips only sent up leaves.
The photo of the 4 kids on the lounge is sweet - but what are they all looking at? :-)
Hugs,
Judith
So pretty. I have English Roses too and love my Gertrude Jekyll, don't you just love them?! All the things in your garden look lovely. Have a great day.
Ciao,
Mary
My Zephrine Drouhin is blooming already! So lovely. And my iris blooms are just in time to make up for the fading tulips....
Delightful!

Looks so beautiful, love the doggies! They look very happy! I know what you mean about the garden moving along so fast. The lilacs are in full bloom here and my roses are beginning to open as well. I don't want to miss a thing so I live in my garden the whole month of May...
Hope you have a great week ~

Bella- It is so beautiful in your garden. I love that the "kids" are all lined up and posing for you. How fun. Blessings to you- I can almost smell your sweet flowers from here. xo Diana
I always enjoy a stroll with you through your magnificent garden. And, i love it when you name each of the flowers... if i ever wanted to know the name of a flower, i would totally contact you first! The dogs are so pretty and adorable... they look like ballerinas to me all posed up on the wicker sofa. Mouse is funny with her inside out ears!
Cindy
Oh Bella....your gardens are always so exquisitely beautiful----but I have to admit that your furbabies always steal my heart! ♥
xoxo laurie
Bella!
I am breathless looking at your beautiful garden, and I especially love the softness of the pictures. Are you willing to share?
I would love to know how to apply that feel to some of my pictures at Beverly Cottage~ Love~
Your flowers are lovely Bella. The colors are beautiful and it is nice to see you are having a sunny spring. You have an amazing garden. I am so delighted to see it and inspired!!!!

Hi Bella,
I don't blame you for wanting to bottle up all that beauty! I love the pic of your sweet pup reflected in the pond.
We were dry here as well but we had a lot of rain the last couple of days, however,we had some cold nights so we are no further ahead then last year.
Enjoy it all!
Carolyn
Hi Bella, I really enjoyed seeing the view from above. Everything looks lush and you have a pretty trellis. The deutzia and tulips are lovely, as is your rose. You will have lots of pretty roses this year since you received all those DA roses for Valentine's Day. Lucky you! I enjoyed seeing your dogs - I believe you have 5? Are they all Italian greyhounds?
Blessings, Beth
So Beautiful! AND YES, my gardens are ahead of me too. AND there are SO MANY Birds nesting in the gardens I hate to disturb them.
Love your garden mascots, they are TOO CUTE!!!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Big Hugs,
Donna

Greetings, I am a first time visitor and love, love your garden. Yes, I agree time is flying way to fast. Our summers get to hot here along the Gulf Coast that spring is so valued. Just to sit outside in the spring is such a treat but will soon be gone. It does go by so fast but then again my list of todo's always gets longer and longer..I wish it was the opposite. I am your newest follower, love your site. Happy Spring Kathy
akebia so dainty I have 4 igs also
