Well,
Hello to summer...
I HAD great intentions
of building a blue tablescape,
in tribute...
while garage saleing this spring,
a few pretty blues
have found their way into my hands...
still pink
has it's hold on me,
and has dominated the table....
a pair of soft sky blue
Fire King salad plates...
cutwork napkins,
edged in the same soft soothing blue...
a Limoges serving dish
that has sat on a shelf (dusty, very dusty)
waiting for it's day in the sun...
a menagerie of mix matched silver
all around the table...
all garage sale finds...
a new tablecloth,
dripping in flowers...
Lemons...
just say summer...
a grouping of rose bouquets
in small simple creamers, and tea pots
rambles down the table...
each small bouquet,
ready for relocation...
to a nightstand,
or sink side...
Happy Summer!
Tonight I am joining...
Thanks for stopping by today...

Happy Summer Bella. I can't get over the fantastic finds you gals in the US come home with from thrifting and garage sales. From the few I've been to, there's nothing but junk on display. My conclusion is that we don't have the history of accumulated shiny silverware, fine china and lacy tablecloths. Most of the pioneers probably didn't have any finery and I know in our area, much of the lovely wooden antique furniture was burned to keep warm in the winter.
Anything I pick up is from an antique store and costs a pretty penny so I'll have to enjoy your found treasures.

Soft pinks and blues - so lovely together. Your roses look so pretty in the little white pitchers. Soothing inspiration on a very hot day.

Your photos are amazing, Bella!
I take my time with each image so I can soak in all the detail...like the tiny flowers of the serving dish..beautiful!
Enjoy your day.

Happy Summer, Bella! Your images are so beautiful and soft. I agree with Judith, you girls in the states have so many lovely things at the shops and garage sales. Here on our little Island, there is little to choose from; mostly junk! So, like Judith, I will enjoy peeking at yours. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Blessings,
Sandi

Ahhhhhh... the limoge serving dish is so precious, what a wonderful shape and those delicate faded blue flowers are gorgeous. Of course, i'm like you, i would end up with pink everywhere even when trying to play with another color. Your faded blues and pink play well together though, that's for sure. I love the little single petaled rose too, how sweet.

Hi Bella! Your tablecloth is soooo darling! What a treasure! If that tablecloth was at a yard sale here.... it would be in many pieces from women trying to buy it! I love your pretty pictures. Denise

Your table is lovely, Bella. I love the way you've displayed the roses. I enjoy making tiny bouquets to tuck in small places here and there areoung the cottage, or making up little nosegays to bring to my neighbors.
