The first day of summer greeted me,
with sunshine
and cloudless blue skies...
what a wonderful way to begin...
Sweet summer has arrived,
and the Sweetness Rose it's harbinger...
Lady's Mantle
a summery golden glow...
Foxglove and Toadflax,
frolicing...
topheavy Delphiniums
teetering...
basking in sunlight...
Snapdragons....
Ballerina Roses...
happy Bumble Bees
buzzing...
the first days of summer were
dog approved...
Iris played in the Deutzia,
hunting bees..
she sadly caught her first
and learned
some things bite back...
Cosmo played in the kiddie doggie pool...
Happy Summer!!
Today I am joining,
Thanks for joining me today...

What a lovely garden. Your flowers are really beautiful!
I am so envious of your beautiful foxglove. I could never get them to overwinter in zone 3.
Bella, your flower photos are beautiful. Love the doggie pics too. Cute.
Gorgeous pictures! I adore foxglove and delphiniums!! Your garden is so beautiful. Love your furbabies. One of ours got stung on the nose by a wasp...had to whisk her to the vet..her whole face swelled. Hope you baby was okay!

What a beauty is Iris. I like your dogpictures very much but your garden pictures are also beautiful, they are a bit hazy and that makes it so romantic.

Even the dogs enjoyed the day, with the exception of the bee encounter. I do hope there was no reaction!
Beautiful pictures! Happy to see all the delphinium--I love them, too. And great to see the dogs enjoying themselves--except for the bee sting, poor baby--hope she's okay!
Wonderfully romantic images you are bidding on. Bird's with its lime leaves and flowers fit so well with perennials. My foxgloves have not started to bloom yet. But soon. This year I failed my snapdragons. There's always something going bad in the seed. the image on your so beautiful. Love your picture of Iris. The flowers framing her. Cosmo seems to have fun in the water with his toy. Bosse my dog is a papillon. I wish you a wonderful weekend! Zinnia

Beautiful photos, Bella! I don't have pets but the neighbor's cats come over and love to hide in all the flowering foliage when I'm outdoors! It's fun to watch them chase the flying insects that buzz around their heads when they're trying to nap under the Hosta or lying in the Catmint.
