Rainy Days and Roses...

Rainy Days and Roses
 are both abundant lately...

so I snapped a few photos
around the patio
 between showers...

I have a pair of big pots in a sunny location
on the patio...

no plant was ever happy there...

last year,
on a whim I bought a pair of roses
on clearance to try...

the pretty ruffled
Aloha Roses have thrived...

Neptune Rose in her lavender glory...

and her pinker bud beginning...

over the winter we removed several trees...

the Cecile Brunner Roses,
are so happy to have sunnier skies....

the first flush is withering,
too soon...

but the abundant new growth
 is peppered with fresh buds...

the Eden Roses are just beginning
to put on the first show...

Pretty as they are,
the first flush here in the rainy Northwest
tends to be brown along the edges...

new buds waiting on the sun...

the first Scepter'd Isle bloom
stands alone...

perfect...

today I am joining...

Happy Saturday!

Hi Bella
We have the rain but no roses for awhile yet so I can sit back and enjoy yours. I love the Neptune rose, what a gorgeous shade of lavender!

So lovely! I purchased a sterling rose and it was supposed to be lavender in color. Unfortunately I don't know if it is even going to survive the summer. I'm so sad! I'm going to make a note... Neptune! :)

Thank you for joining in for Fresh-Cut-Friday. This really was the perfect post!:) Have a lovely weekend!

I love roses - mine are just beginning to flower but are hating the constant rain especially poor Felicite Parmentier whose buds are just going to turn brown and refuse to open I suspect:( You have some lovely roses, I really like Scepter'd Isle.

Your roses are just so lovely, Bella! Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful images. Did any of the roses your husband bought for you begin blooming this year?
