Hydrangea Wreath

I have been cutting Hydrangea blooms
from the garden...

 for a wreath...

I decided to hang it from the hall tree,
and do a little fall decorating...

I always drag my feet into fall,
it's just so hard to say goodbye to summer...

 the dried blooms
were in this fabulous rainbow of soft colors...

so I tried to create a swirl pattern in my wreath...

in contrast,
these Hydrangea blooms from last year,
have turned a bone white...

have you seen these Pink Pumpkins
in your local stores?

they are from the Pink Pumpkin Patch
foundation
and benefit breast cancer research...

there aren't many places you want warts,
but I love them on a pumpkin!

and a basket full of roses...

 I would like to think
I could leave this basket
 here beside the hall tree,
because I really like it here...

but,  although Iris is a year and a half now
(doesn't time fly?)
she still has naughty tendencies...

or maybe,
she just really likes that romantic
scattered look,
hmmm...

 Tonight I am joining...
and

Thank you for stopping by...

Your hydrangea wreath is divine!!!! You did such a beautiful job creating that work of art! The colors are absolute heaven!!! You chose a lovely spot to grace her, so everyone is able to enjoy it's lovliness. I know what you mean about dragging your feet on Fall decor. I've done the same... I made one hydrangea wreath and bought three orange pumpkins that are sitting on my front porch along with two purple asters in urns. Well Bella, your home looks every bit as beautiful as I thought and thanks so much for sharing such beauty.

Hi Bella
You made a lovely wreath and I do like the colour swirling. Hanging it in the hall where visitors can enjoy it was a good idea.
Girls will be girls, Iris probably wanted some roses to call her own! :-)
Hugs,
Judith

In our old house I grew beautiful hydrangeas and enjoyed cutting and drying them. Your wreath on the hall tree is stunning as well as the other flowers. Love that pink pumpkin. Your photographs are gorgeous.

I just cut a bunch of our hydrangea blossoms to save, they are now drying. A wreath may be the answer. Beautifully done!

Ok.....usually I find myself skimming past the pumpkins, because like you, I'm dragging my feet into autumn (altho I am liking the cooler temps). But I skidded to a stop when I saw your pink pumpkin! How cute is THAT???? :) That's the very first pumpkin I can honestly say I love, Bella. lol! Your hydrangea wreath is just gorgeous. The colors are incredible!

Beautiful wreath Bella, I have been following your blog for a long time way before I had my own. Your blog is so beautiful and pretty and your house looks gorgeous and the gardens wow. I forget sometimes that cats can do just as much damage to things as dogs. We used to keep a few cats, sadly they have now passed away. Although my neighbours cats more than make up for the loss.

I think your your dogs are so cute, Ben our border collie used to be really destructive in the house, but he is so good now and he is only 3.
