Baskets Full of Roses...

the summery days of roses
have arrived...

while the rain still has garage sales
stuck in a spring stall...

this sweet ceramic basket,
was last weeks only find...

for a dollar
a cheap thrill...

gathering the first basket full
of garden roses...

a big thrill...

on the other side of the basket,
my Mr's favorite cheap summer thrill...

the first Rhubarb,
it's pie time!

the first rose bouquet of the year,
PRICELESS...

I hope something priceless,
is in store for you this weekend...

I am off to bake a pie,
Mmmm...

Happy Weekend to you....

Lovely sweet roses. How do you call the little pink/purple flowers, those in buds ? are they clematis ?

Here, in the region of Paris, due to a wretched spring roses and other spring blooming are very late... We all hope for a better weather with a little bit of sun.

Darling basket! You have the prettiest colored roses. I've never had a rhubarb pie either. I'll have to try it sometime...

Bella, your rose bouquet in the little white basket is gorgeous as are the other photos too. Rhubarb is ready here and if and when the rain stops I'll be asking my neighbour for some. :)

My roses have started to bloom early this year but the Iris are what are stealing the show right now. I have been having fun sharing them with my readers.

Hi Bella, your first summer rose bouquet is gorgeous! The ceramic basket you found is very lovely.
My mom and I plan to do some thrifty shopping this weekend, so hopefully we'll find something inexpensive and lovely too.
Wish you a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Oh my goodness!!!! These photos are gorgeous Bella! I love the first bouquet of your roses in that little ceramic basket, AND I love your willow gathering basket too.
I went back to see the posts I had missed here because I hate missing any part of your garden---and your spring blooms are so amazing. I don't think there's anything i love more than looking through someone else's garden. I get so inspired by your photos!
sending hugs...

So beautiful and I hope the pie was great! My strawberries are just coming on and I am excited for the strawberry rhubarb pie!
My peonies are blooming and my miniature roses are blooming. The Sweet William have just begun to bloom as well! Spring finally came to Washington!
Hearts to you,

What a sweet basket, Bella, and it looks so lovely with your roses tucked inside. Your garden is certainly well ahead of us here on the East Coast, but our roses have set their buds and by mid-June we will be awash with hedge roses and a few elegant "specials".
