Ruffles...

Silly, frilly swirls,
so girly...

a rose of impossible ruffles,
Memorial Day...

each time she blooms,
I fall in love again...

an old tattered prom dress,
one dollar
at a garage sale...

careless romance...

summer is passing by so fast,
I want to preserve it,
keep it locked up,
safely tucked away behind closed doors...

Happy Friday...

I am off to hunt
the garage sales in the morning...
don't you love the anticipation?

I am joining,
 and

Thanks for stopping by....

Your photos are just gorgeous! The combination of the roses and the dress is quite attractive!! But surprised to know that you got this beautiful dress for only one dollar? You're a good shopper!

Such perfect drama for your beautiful rose! A beautiful pairing with your ruffly dress. Love the view through your french doors. I want to lock summer away and keep it forever too! Happy hunting! xx

This post makes me want to throw rose petals at your feet! So extravagantly romantic. Perfect Pink Saturday fare. Love the rose - brought back memories of old roses at my childhood home.

Hi Bella,
So beautiful!!! I was tempted to buy a very similar dress but it was $48 so I left it behind but at your price I would have scooped it up and ran!
Love the beautiful pics you got of it-so romantic.
Thank you for your kind words and I am happy to hear you are enjoying my book.

Oh how I love that rose, Bella, and how perfectly it mirrors that lovely worn gown. Capturing the best of summer's beauty... wouldn't that be wonderful. *sigh*
