Roslyn, WA...

A fall drive
is a tradition for us...

a crisp day,
snuggled in the car,
oohing and awing over the brilliant colors...

a favorite destination is
Roslyn, WA

it sits along HWY 90
nestled between the mountain passes...

a sleepy little town of only 900...

the rural character
was featured in the tv show
Northern Exposure...

the movie
The Runner Stumbles
was also filmed here,
and featured the
Immaculate Conception Church...

charm abounds...

as we wandered home,
we took a little hike...

and gathered pine cones,
because I am obsessed with the bleached pine cones
 I have seen on Pinterest...

is it too early to think about Christmas?

If you'd like to see more of Rosyln,
a completely different side,
I posted about it here
a couple Halloweens ago...

I will be back on this Halloween
to share something else
I saw on my trip...

Thanks for coming along today....

Gorgeous autumn colours and quaint homes. The people in the red and white house sure know how to coordinate their yard.

What a charming town, Bella, and such beautiful fall colors. Your photos are so wonderful. I particularly love the sweet wood framed houses with their 'gingerbread' trim. Collecing pine cones at this time of year is one of my favorite pastimes, too. Wishing you a lovely week!
