The Garden is Quiet...

We have only had a few light frosts...

the garden is quiet,
but holding her own...

still full of little
 treasures to be discovered...

the trees are nearly bare...

warm and golden tones..

flowers tattered...

 pumpkins on the porch...

the days so short,
the shadows so long....

Roses dance
in deformed beauty...

ruffles and frills...

Climbing Eden
smiles down from the arbors top...

Anemone seeds
blowing in the wind...

the Koi frolic
with the floating autumn leaves...

a big pile of leaves,
makes everyone feel like a kid,
or a puppy...

even an old dog
gets an extra wiggle in his step...

the garden is quiet
and I feel that way too...

enjoying what nature provides...

 looking forward to snow :-)

Your garden is full of poetry. Nice to see it in autumn. It seems to make for some happy pups! Love that shot of the pumpkins with the wicker and the shadows.xx

Bella, your words and phrases are very descriptive.. It seems that an ending is just as beautiful as a beginning. Love the puppies and how this weather makes them feel. We notice it in our old boy too..Happy Wednesday..Judy

A lovely and poetic post, Bella. Love Eden peeking over the arbor and your sweet little pup-dogs frolicking in the leaves. I had that very same wicker chair at my vanity as a child. xo Karen

There is a certain peacefulness and quiet about autumn, Bella. Like the earth is preparing for a long nap. Your photos were a welcome quiet for my soul after a long day of blowing huge piles of golden leaves back into the woods. :)

Bella how did all of your David Austin roses do? Mine was beautiful with bloom after bloom this year. You garden is lovely no matter what the season. I am looking for ward to your sparkly Christmas. Your Christmas has inspired what I would like to achieve in the dining room this year. We shall see. I have moved my Mother here and her downsizing is in charge of my dining room right now.

Sherry

Your garden is still gorgeous Bella!!! Such beautiful shots you shared here. Your pond is amazing! My garden is just pretty dead and I am hoping for snow soon so that the roses get covered before the really cold temp st in.
I could look at your garden all day and see what I can do to improve mine. You and Carolyn's gardens are my favorites.
I loved your previous post that I hadn't seen too. The headstones and graves are set in the most amazing setting.

Even your pumpkins match the color of your house! Soft pinks, and bluish/greens.
I love how you talk us through the images, Bella. As the gardens are getting ready for winter, I felt myself transitioning with the season.
You have a gift for writing.

Dear Bella,

Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog! I appreciate them very much!

Your garden still looks beautiful with the roses and other pretty blooms. Mine has gone to sleep already. The last flowers have died away, waiting to arise again in spring.

Wishing you a happy week!
