My Menagerie...

The quiet days of winter...

days spent curled up
with magazines...

 in this pretty picture
from Tea Time Magazine...

the milk-glass
just looked so fresh and springy
to me on a dreary day...

it started a mild obsession...

I made a trip to a local charity shop
 a few days later
 and found this pretty piece...

I am smitten
with my new bright white vase,
it's so cheerful...

I couldn't resist bringing these sweet guys home...

Valentines Day is coming
and I know they will take center stage...

for now
they are tucked into my china cabinet...

I have a thing for mirrors with candles,
so romantic...

so I picked this one up,
it will fit right into a little nook
 in my sitting room...

I'll share it's make-over soon...

a perfect shopping day
 ends with Roses...

I found these for a steal!
seven dollars a dozen...

I used some dried Hydrangea
for my
 glass menagerie knock-off...

I do think for a true menagerie,
I will need at least a few more pieces :-)

I Love it when You stop by...

Hi Bella, I love your new milk-glass vase! So beautiful filled with the roses and dried hydrangeas! The mirror with the candle is also a wonderful find. I have exactly the same mirror, but there is no candle holder attached to it. Since our move it is still somewhere in the garage. I really should get it out and display it, again. Wishing you that you find some more white milk-glass pieces to complete your menagerie soon and thanks for another beautiful post! Have a nice day!

Oh Bella, how beautiful! I just stopped by after receiving your comment on my blog (thank you!) and discovered you. I have to go out in a minute, but I have bookmarked your page, and am definitely making tea and looking through your posts later when I get home! Lovely.

Oh I do love Milk Glass, Bella, and your new vase is beautiful! I hope you find other pieces, too. (My mother had the Salt & Pepper shakers featured in that photo... she passed them on to my daughter one Christmas as she, too, loves keeping things like that in the family.) I love your bouquet of roses and hydrangea... it's just as lovely as the magazine!

Bella, your cupids are darling and I am smitten with your white milk glass vase filled with pink roses! I picked up some roses today at the grocery store similar in colour to yours and I can't wait to get them into a pretty vase. I don't have a milk glass vase but I do have a pink one. *smiles* Thank you for sharing your romantic post with us at my HOME and have a lovely weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi
