Beautfiul April....

I love Spring...

it is my favorite season,
everything is so fresh and new...

a beginning...

so far ,
April has been a beautiful month...

on the first day,
I thought I had plenty to do...

then this box of bareroot Roses
 showed up on my doorstep...

I am not complaining,
not one bit!

these are my choices...

(Mount Fuji Cherry)

the current stars of the garden are the trees...

the Magnolia...

and down they come...

the Easter Egg Tree
is in full bloom...

Pink Magnolia snow in the background...

Viburnum on the cusp
of wonderful!

an airy spray of Bridal Spirea...

Tulips popping....

the Starling
are beginning to nest...

I should say...

"the VERY ambitious Starlings"

another joy of gardening...

the found treasures,
through the years I have gathered quite a collection
of buried yard treasures...

mostly buttons,
a porcelain figurines boot,
bits of pottery,
oyster shells,
horse shoes,
and lumps of coal...

I hope the Beauty of April
is in your Heart too...

I am linking up to

Thanks for stopping by today....

Hi Bella - I am new to your blog. Love your gorgeous photos of the flowers and trees. Especially the photo of the Starling flying thru the air carrying nesting materials. I am your newest follower.

I would be thrilled to get a box of David Austin bare roots too. My Eglyntine is ready to bloom that we planted last year. I do not know where you have room to plant more roses...its seems like every year that you are planting more. Speaking of roses I do miss roses being in your blog banner...it is what I think of when I think of you! Happy Spring to your Rose Cottage. xxo

Love the starling with his long mouthful! You would love the roses here in Oregon from heirloom roses:

Good morning, Bella,
So incredibly beautiful! Your new roses will be amazing, and what fun you'll have seeing them bloom for the first time!
I love the photo of the starling. Little birds are returning here, the snow is melting, and tiny green leaves are starting to appear.
I'm so happy I found your blog ~ it's always a joy to visit you!
Hugs,
Lin

Hello Bella,
You lucky Girl. Look at all those roses there. I can't wait (I'm sure you can't wait either) to see them in bloom. Love your garden photos and what a great photo of the Starling.
Happy Planting! : )

Oh Bella, your garden is spectacular!! I love those Bleeding Hearts!! We have a Gertrude Jeckyll rose, unfortunately it doesn't look too chipper this spring. We had a rough winter here in N.C., like most of the country, and we're also thinking we need to prune the David Austin rose way back. We had loads of blooms last year.

Enjoy your lovely spring blooms!

Hugs,

Denise at Forest Manor

Dear Bella, April is one of the nicest months in my garden and my heart is full of spring joy, too! I love all the flowering trees in your yard. Your list of new David Austin roses is wonderful! It makes me itch to order some more Austins as well, but my pot ghetto is still too big to justify any new purchases. I am looking very much forward to seeing your new roses bloom! Warm regards,
Christina

It's so lovely to see all the color in your garden, Bella. (And that Starling must have big plans!) We'll be catching up soon, I hope. Wishing you a lovely spring weekend.

I loved every gorgeous photo Bella!!! Your spring is well underway and mine is, well, not!
I will have to wait a little longer, so I am really enjoying yours :)
12 new roses---I would give anything to see your garden in person in another year or two. It will be even more amazing than it already is with those new additions.
I love finding buried treasure too, but mine aren't so exciting...mostly old pieces of clay pots and broken glass.
That starling made me laugh! That's going to be some kindda nest!
sending hugs...

Visiting here is always like taking a walk in a heavenly garden, Bella. So utterly beautiful! I ordered some roses too, and am anxious to see them sitting on my porch steps soon. :) Can hardly wait to see yours in full bloom this summer!

Oh how I enjoyed seeing all the beginnings of spring. I recently moved to Florida and as much as I love it. I would say the Oak tree putting on leaves are as close as we get to the seasons. It was so nice to stop by and see your Spring. Loved every scroll.
Hugs, Cindy
