A Place in the Shade...

The soft days of Spring
are dwindling...

as the days become warmer,
I find my self more often on this little bench...

it is a new addition this year...

a simple bench,
in a simple place,
beneath the shade of the Pussy Willow Tree...

David Austin's
Wild Eve Rose is nearby
and one of my favorites...

she trained easily
onto this bird feeder,
despite her name...

I thought I would reshare
 from last year,
Wild Eve's first blooms...

she has owned my heart since...

I hope you too
are finding simple joys...

Don't Forget to Take Time
to Smell the Roses...

Dear Bella, what a lovely place to rest! Your rustic birdhouse with all the moss growing on the roof looks so romantic and 'Wild Eve' trained around it suits it very well. I am surprised that the rose seems to be so happy in the shade. After seeing the little bouquet I am not surprised that this rose has won your heart over. Thanks for this wonderful post.

I'm making a note of this pretty rose variety. Love the way it winds its way up the birdhouse post. Charming! I'd find myself sitting on that bench frequently if it were in my garden. Stunning!

A puppy has kept my garden from being perfect this past year, but now that she is a year old, I would love for my garden to look just like yours.
