Roses up Front...

After spending
a completely lazy week and a half
with my husband,
there is a lot of tidying up to do in the garden....

this morning,
I worked in the front garden
and snapped some Rose pics along the way...

Tiffany,
which is my husbands favorite...

David Austin's
Charles Rennie McIntosh...

the giant heavy heads bending...

Sweetness...

and,
yes it is!

the deep ruffles,
on a Queen Elizabeth...

David Austin's
James Galway Rose...

sigh....

James Galway
in for a close-up...

sigh,   sigh...

Nancy Reagan Rose...

so heavy with blooms,
I draped her onto the fence...

the Ballerina Rose,
makes her first twirls...

a Rose gifted to me by a neighbor...

I suspect she is a Cecile Brunner?

But,  we always simply call her
Martha's Rose
for my neighbor...

tomorrow,
 I tackle the back garden,
I'll bring my camera along...

Always take time to Smell the Roses...

Martha's rose is my favorite...the blooms are larger than our Cecile Brunner but all of your roses blooms seem larger and healthier. Our climate is too dry and the drought is not helping. We have to pull several of our tiny rose garden bushes out and replant in areas of partial shade this year. We will be planting five redwoods this weekend...Aptos Blues. Enjoy your gardens. xxo

Hi Bella, your roses are sooo... lovely! I was excited to see, that we are growing some of the same varieties like 'Sweetness' and 'Charles Rennie Mackintosh'. Looks like we have a similar "rose taste". Thank you so much for sharing and brighten my morning!

Your roses are gorgeous. I love the ballerina cluster of roses. I have been looking for a rose bush that produces small cluster of roses. The David Austin's roses are amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Have a wonderful day.
Blessings,
Bobbie Lynn

Oh my gosh Bella! These are just stunning photos of your beauties! I LOVE seeing your beautiful cottage in the background. The Nancy Reagan rose is so elegant draped over the fence! What a lift! I just can't imagine coming home to a scene like this. It's wonderful to see your garden in bloom again.
