New Beginnings...

The New Year
has begun...

I am a little slow
at getting started,
I was lucky to have my Mr.  home
 for a long holiday vacation...

I was gifted this gorgeous calendar,
from a very special blogging friend....

the pages are fabulously,
decadently
glittered...

Thank You Jacqueline!
for beginning each of my days
 with sparkle...

your friendship
means the world to me!

another beginning
arrived the day after Christmas...

when my Husband presented me
 with this little bloom...

a little garden bloom in Winter,
decadent...

I planted this little New Dawn Viburnum
last Spring,
knowing it would be an early bloomer,
but, in December...
just WOW!

as if
 Winter blooms
are not enough treasure,
the smell,
Ahhhhh...

after that discovery,
I looked around the garden a little harder...

pushing aside
the blanket of Fall leaves...

tiny treasures...

we haven't ever had snow yet!

I hope your year has begun
with good friends,
glitter
and small treasures too....

Happy New Beginnings to you my friends...

Happy New Year Bella. What a delightful surprise to find such pretty blooms in the garden in January! It's -22C here this morning and the ground is covered with snow. The calendar is so sweet and will be a pleasure to turn each page through the year. Pamela

What a jewel of a post this morning! The calender is a beauty. Funny, but I have one just like it!!! Glitter is a great way to start a day, and so is your post! Makes my day! I am just in awe that you have bloom in your garden already. That photo of the flower in the vase in front of the tree is just breathtaking! It is cold and brown and barren and ugly here. But at least we have sunshine! Such a wonderful way to begin the new year in your gorgeous garden! Happy New Year! xxj.

Ahhhh the bloom is exquisite! So is the calendar - what a sweet and pretty gift. Where in the world do you live to have the little flowers popping up already? I must plant one of those viburnum's in that exact same color, it is wonderful...

I love the fragrance of vibernum on a cold winters eve. New growth is coming all around us, camellias are budding and blueberries changing colour in the fields.
So happy the sun will begin to travel north again.
Regards for a new year.
