Grey Skies and Pink Roses...

 There is simply the rose;
it is perfect in every moment of its existence.
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

I have been enjoying
these grey and cozy days of Fall...

Fall has been mild here...
foggy mornings,
that make me think of childhood
and how fun it was to run and disappear into the thick fog..

mornings
I just want to linger in bed
and wear fuzzy socks all day...

once I do get moving
there is much to do in the garden...

raking,
pruning...

on lucky days
my reward is a handful of roses...

theses beauties are
Francis Meiland...

I stoked up my faux fireplace
with a new strand of mini lights...

these are the same Francis Meiland Roses,
after a couple days inside
they pop into these big fluffy delights...

perfect in every moment
of its existence...

Thanks for Visiting me...

You have made roses so cozy! Of course they are breathtaking too. So lucky! Love your autumn mantel and fireplace. Even the fog would be beautiful! Happy Friday! Our shop event is tomorrow. Busy busy.

Bella, it's been far too long, I too have an Italian grey hound!
Your photos are breathtaking, love the China painted pitcher, I use to have a large collection back in the early 90's
The logs it up inspires winter, colder and greyer days of beauty.

See you soon

Xx

O happy day! - your blog is open again. I miss it when it is open to invited guests only. Even when I've read the latest posts, I still need to browse through again and again, especially during these snowy winter months. Your photographs help me make plans for the spring garden. I had never considered Francis Meiland because I had never seen it full blown as in your last photo. Just gorgeous! and my kind of rose.
