Roses the Details...

The Roses are off to a wonderful start
this year!

I am always dazzled by the variety of Roses...
the sizes
 the shapes
the ruffles!

I will let you "walk" quietly,
so you can admire their lovely details...

"A flower unplucked is but left to the falling,
And nothing is gained by not gathering roses"
Robert Frost

A May Bouquet...

May Bouquets,
I can't get enough...

simple gatherings of garden fresh blooms,
lazily arranged...

Verbascum...

Delphinium...

the tall spikes of Delphinium
are one of my favorite flowers...

A cottage garden must...

yet the plant
I have the hardest time growing...

a big floppy Rose...

arranged in
a Vintage Coffee Jar...

I love the lattice pattern on the glass...

effortless
and yet a bit fancy all at once...

I hope your May days have been effortless
and a bit fancy too...

Random Ramblings...

I always seem to have a handful of photos
that don't fit into a post...

random things...

so here are
my Random Ramblings...

 delicately tinged pink
dried Fuji Cherry Blossoms...

Spring Violets
and a scrap of veil netting...

the very first Roses of the season...

small and a little warped
China Blush Roses
in a toothpick holder turned mini vase...

the first Tree Peony Bloom...

a field of unknown to me
Blue Wildflowers...

a little Tree Love...

Happy Weekend to You...

I hope you find Joy in something you weren't expecting,
something random...

Thanks for Stopping By....

A May Garden Stroll...

I Love May!

As far as months go,
it tops my list...

warm days & cool nights...
the world smells fresh and green...

the garden is a lot of work in the Spring,
but the rewards are great...

a trip around the garden
reveals new delights each day...

Blue Skies
&
Pink Columbine...

a perfect combination...

the birds favorite place for a splash...

I added a dozen or so new
Peony bushes to the garden
this Spring...

this is the first to bloom...

the purple Iris...

the Gertrude Jekyll Roses...

intoxicatingly fragrant...

David Austin's
The Wedgewood Rose...

perfect and so delicate...

the first bloom of Mortimer Sackler,
with many more blooms to come...

it too is a David Austin Rose...

a short nearly thornless climbing rose...

Wisley Rose,
a perfect rosette formation...

a seat in the shade...

Thanks for strolling....

Forget-Me-Not Tea...

Forget-Me-Nots,
sweet and endearing...

just a dainty five petaled flower
as simple as Spring
and a rumpled tablecloth...

they are a favorite
Spring highlight for me...

as is the saucerless teacup...

sugar cookies are another
of my sweet favorite things...

all the better jumbo sized...

true blue
faithful...

My week started off
simple & sweet,
 I hope yours did too...

Thanks for stopping by...
