A Rainy Day along the Picket Fence...

I rarely take you upfront...

so I thought we'd spend a little time there...

and
I would share my picket fence flowers,
nothing is better
than the backdrop of a picket fence
to showcase flowers,
and it makes a nice prop
to hold up the lanky ones too...

rain soaked roses,
nodding heavily....

the Peonies...

a perfect example of lanky flowers
propped on the picket fence...

effortless
cottage perfection...

Valerian...

and nearly open Fairy Lilies...

Valerian and Verbascum....

the photo was naturally soft & faded,
I like the water colour feeling....

James Galway Roses,
ruffled perfection...

Wishing you Sunny Skies...

Very beautiful Bella. I can almost smell the Peonies.

Your posts are always so beautiful! I love flowers growing on a white picket fence--one of my favorite things!

The fence is so pretty the way you staggered the slats, Bella! And of course all of your images are breathtaking!! I always love coming here for a visit.

really beautiful! Do you know the name of that pink peony (the real closeup photo). I have the same one but it was unmarked when I bought it. I'd love to know which variety it is.

Thank you for the lovely tour!

Your gardens are so disciplined especially along the lines of your color schemes... so beautiful!... I wish I wasn't as 'unbridled' with colors but I'm afraid that's just my personality.... not likely to range any time soon! Larry

Each of these photos is perfection. What a pretty front yard! A picket fence is the ideal accent for flowers. SO beautiful. Happy June! Looking lovely for you.

Roses and picket fences just go together. They enhance each other. James Galway will probably have to be mine before the season is over. I love everything about it. Your blog always inspires.

Dear Bella,
what a beautiful garden and house you have! I live in Austria and we do not have such pretty houses here. It all fits together so nicely, with the roses, peonies, the colours of your house, the lovely white chairs and the wreath next to the door. Just love it! I too have many peonies and David Austin roses in my garden, they are my favourite plants. I especially like the picture of your James Galway Roses. Thank you for sharing your wonderful garden!
All the best,
Lisa
