Today is a Pink Swirl...

 

the Kwanzan Cherry Tree

has come to the end of it's show...

 

 

a windy day

 petals are flying...

 

 

blowing away grey skies...

 

blowing way the last of April's Showers...

 

 

spreading a carpet of petals everywhere...

 

 

the Koi seem thrilled

to play in the pink swirl...

 

 inside the weather is much calmer...

 

 

an orphaned tea cup,

a garage sale find,

fifty cents...

 

 perfectly sweet spring blooms...

 

Violets

and

Forget-Me-Nots

 

 

sending spring smiles your way :-)

I think that is the joy of a cottage garden,

Spring Garage Sales...

Last week

was amazing,

gorgeous glorious spring days...

 

I worked in the garden

till I dropped...

 

on Thursday.

it clouded over,

and I needed a break....

 

I found a single garage sale

that held promise...

 

 

I think it's almost as exciting

 to visit the first garage sales of spring,

 as it is to see the first blooms in the garden...

almost....

 

 

I found this trio

of pretty dishes...

 

the platter is giant!

 

 

swags of roses along it's edges,

and a big chip,

ouch!

 

an ouchless price!

 

we have agreed to overlook each others flaws :-)

 

 

a pretty new teapot,

five dollars...

 

 I wish I'd shown her mark,

before I arranged the roses...

 

she is Spanish Ironstone...

 

 

a beautiful rose design

and embossed leaves on the rim...

 

 

a pretty pink teacup to add to my collection,

eight dollars...

 

 

bottoms up...

 

 

and

bottoms up...

 

 

tomorrow if we don't get rained out,

I am excited to take you on a garden tour...
