Groundhog Day...

We have reached mid-winter...

Punxsutawney Phil the groundhog
has risen from his hole
and has seen his shadow....

his verdict
six more weeks of winter...

but,
 I am not sure....

I have seen the crocus breaking ground in the garden,
the buds of the trees are swelling...

still to mark Phil's announcement,
I bought roses...

a little birdie
told me it was a good idea....

and well...
 truly,
roses are never a bad idea...

I hope you have found a little sunshine
on this mid-winters day...

Today I am joining...
and

Thanks for stopping by...

So lovely Bella. I am thankful for the blue sky for the next few days. I loved your ice pictures, I somehow missed that post (probably didn't have power!). The ice on your purple berries was so beautiful. I am going to look for some of those this year. Enjoy the sun!

Lovely, gentle vignette. I've only had to wear a coat one day this entire winter. January was gorgeous, and February is continuing in the same fashion. We're supposed to get a blessed rain storm over night. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

What beautiful uplifting photos! As a Brit I'm not familiar with Groundhog day- I have seen the movie but don't know the tradition. I must look it up. Thanks for sharing your stunning photos, Sally @ Enlightenment for the Sleepy xxx

Också i vår lokala tidning här i Sverige kunde jag läsa om spådomen. Här brukar de titta på abborrens fenor för att utröna hur vintern blir.Hoppas de sex veckorna går fort!:)
