It's Childs Play...

Or was it?

Singer Made these Sweet Childrens Sewing Machines
in the 1950's

They were well made, and fully functional

They had numbered thread guides...

(you can click any phot0 to see a larger image)

They only had a top thread,
but made a sturdy chain stitch.

Complete with the Singer Emblem

I'll bet many a well dressed Dolly
had a Mom with one of these :-)

Today I am joining Suzanne at The Colorado Lady
For Vintage Thingie Thursday

Garden Bones...

I thought with spring coming so early and so fast,
We would go into the garden today
and see the bones of it.

Follow Me...

An iron hook,
waiting to be adorned with a flower basket..

The Fleur Tops on the arbor,
waiting for the jasmine to climb back up,
and twine around them.

I bought this plant with the  lovely white flowers
at a plant sale last year.
The name of the plant is completely lost to me.

The Rabbits are looking forward to the perennials growing tall,
and giving them a place to hide.

The slatted top of the arbor.
I planted Eden Roses on either side of this arbor last year,
and hope they will reach the top this year.

The mirror ball that hangs in the arbor top,
always has the best view of the garden...
(I tried to hide behind the 4x4 pole,
like that was gonna work :-)

Cosmo tried to catch some sun on the wicker sofa,
The other boys were not so brave.
They hid in the house.

Italian Greyhounds are not fans of rain,
and the weather looked iffy to them today.

This Chickadee spent the morning,  watching me take pictures,
and singing his sweet song....
chick a dee dee dee
I recently read the more de de de's they add to the end of their song..
the more nervous they are.

Today I am joining two great blog parties!
