Easter Creeping in...

I know it seems a little early...
but I just couldn't help myself.

I had to start sneaking just a few Easter decorations
in around the house.

A sweet velvet chick here...

A pink egg in a miniature teacup...

A covered butter dish of blue eggs...

A hen with a clutch of eggs...

In case you hadn't guessed I love eggs...
scattered in everything that will hold them..
all over the house.

and oh course...
The Rabbit Himself.

Silver Pear...

The flowering pear trees are in full bloom...

So I made small bouquets in mint julip cups...
I love the freshness of the silver and white together.

.

I also made a small bouquet of winter daphne..
in a little silver sugar bowl,
for a pop of color.

The winter daphne smells like heaven!
it perfumes the whole room.

I grouped all my tiny bouquets on a small silver tray...
I think I'll put it on my nightstand for sweet dreams!

Today I am joining SILVER SUNDAY

Pie Forks...

Our weather has taken a hard turn to..
ugly ville.
Wet, cold, and windy.
more the weather we should be having,
but I have been spoiled this last month or so.

So knowing garage sales were not going to be happening,
I decided to go antique shopping :-)

I had a great morning,
with some nice finds!

Today I thought I'd share my forks,
I'll show you some other stuff later in the week.

Aren't they pretty? ...unusual? ...

(click photos to enlarge)

They have a Giant Tine of one side!
Don't you love the weird and unusual?

The dealer in the antique mall had them labeled
Dessert Forks....

I came home and googled and found nothing,
similar for dessert forks.

I really wanted to use them when I serve pie...
I googled Pie Forks...
and up they popped.

Crazy and beautiful,
pie forks!

The Rhubarb is growing,
and I can't wait to make pies.
Good news to my husband's ears,
cause like I said before....
He really loves pie!
