Button and Hook...

I thought I would share some vintage Mother of Pearl...
Buttons and Buttonhooks.

Victorian Fashion is always so lovely,
but it must be a true skill to use a buttonhook!

Heart Felt Thanks...

Look what came to my mailbox on Friday!

Wrapped in Lavender tissue paper
and smelling of Lavender.

Who could this be from??

My super sweet friend Judith from Lavender Cottage!

I was feeling down last month
and Judith wanted to do something to cheer me up.

What is more fun then packages in the mail?
Not Much :-)

After I posted about my small collection of lambs
she sent these two to join my flock!
Aren't they adorable!
Don't you just love...
the sweet curly tufts on the little lamb?

Thank You Judith,  your kindness is so appreciated!

I am going to keep these two little guys on my desk..
as a reminder of my thoughtful new friends
 in Blog Land!

Go visit my friend Judith at her Lovely
Lavender Cottage

Flowers of the Bog...

Today...  I thought we would bog blog :-)

My husband has a backyard Koi pond..
and some of the flowers are starting to bloom in the bog.

Let's go see...

(click photos to enlarge)

Our bog is a shallow strip of water on both side of the pond,
it's filled with pea gravel for planting.
Here is a view looking down the length of it
with pickerel weed in the foreground.

Here is a close up of the Pickerel Weed.

Here is an  other view of  the pond,
looking down into the water.
The water is 4.5 feet deep.

Here is a close-up of the Siberian Iris.

It's not a flower but..
when you are by the pond the Koi all swim over
to see whats going on and to beg.
Here is the hungry mouth of a Koi
begging to be fed.

Today I am joining Todays Flowers
come see beautiful flowers from all around the world!
