Garage Sale Roses...

Saturday... I went out to a few more garage sales.
So,  I thought I would share with you
some of the pretties I found :-)

(click photos to enlarge)

Roses Roses Roses
I bought these all at one sale
for three dollars!

These two rosy cups,  no saucers...

They match.. the bud is on one side
and  the bloom on the other.

I thought they had an unusual stamp..
the only word I can read is China.

Here is one of the two plates I bought,
they are Hand Painted
Prussian China
Royal  Ruddlstadt.

They were by far my favorite purchase.
When your heart pitter patters
for one dollar a piece plates
it's a good day!

Here is a close up of the beautiful roses
on the first plate...

and...  A close up of the second plate,
it has a hair line crack,
but I am not complaining...

I would love to be talented enough to paint
dreamy roses like this!

and... Here is a little oval bowl
by Homer Laughlin
with some more delicate roses.

I am going to use it in the bathroom
to hold some pretty soaps.

So all and all it was a very rosy day :-)

Today.. I am joining

New Pink Teacups...

This morning I went out
and visited a few garage sales:-)

(click photos to enlarge)
Sorry..  This first one won't enlarge
I don't know why?

I was so excited when I found this group of Pink Teacups..
I knew right away I would have to share them
with the Pink Ladies
for Pink Saturday!

It's an uneven set of...
eight cups and five plates.

But what a deal at twenty dollars!

They are the Georgian pattern
by Homer Laughlin...

Don't they have a pretty bouquet?

and... one of my Pink Peonies
floated in the cup.

Flowers, flowers, everywhere...
Isn't that the best part of summer?

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
I can't wait to go to more sales in the morning!

Today I am joining...

My Favorite Place...

Today...  I thought I would share with you...
my favorite garden getaway :-)

It's my wicker chair on the backside of the gazebo...

A perfect place to lounge around in the afternoon,
the sun is at my back
so it's a relaxing place to enjoy a magazine.

And pink lemonade is always a delicious treat!

I haven't got my little area all dressed up yet,
our weather has still been too cool and wet.

So... I just tossed a white cotton dish towel
 over the little table,
and grabbed a few of my favorite things.

I wanted to show you today
because my Gertrude Jekyll Roses
are right behind my chair and
they are looking and smelling wonderful!

I brought my rusty old bird bell to my table..
just for fun.

Do you think if I ring it a team of garden fairies
may appear and do all the work for me?
I can daydream,  right?

and tucked a nest of moonstone eggs
into the birdcage...

Here are the roses,
they don't seem to mind the wet weather.
They are English Roses!

And...  just because I love these little guys,
here is an urn I planted today.

I Planted Saxifrage in the top,
which should spill out and look lovely
and... I planted some plugs of Pennyworth
at the feet.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Today I am joining a few fun parties...
