Fields of Daffodils...

Last year

I shared some pictures

of the local Daffodil Farms

gathering the crops...

this year

we had a big surprise..

after only a couple weeks of harvesting

the tight buds...

they let the fields bloom...

so last week

 I grabbed a few pics to share..

rows of sunshine...

the simple flower,

with the MOST ENDEARING name...

several visitors to my garden

have been surprised,

that I allow forget-me-nots to grow...

aren't they a WEED?

yes they are prolific,

untamed,

  hard to control...

but a garden is from the heart...

when I see forget-me-nots..

I see meadows,

lazy days,

filtered sunshine,

picnics,

ROMANCE...

nosegays to be gathered...

and given to a lover...

the message is simple

heart in hand...

FORGET-ME-NOT?

pressed gently,

My Valentines Day present from my sweetie

arrived today...

it's a little late

you say?

well,

I like jewelry,  but don't wear it...

like chocolate, but don't need it...

But I LOVE ROSES,

so he suggested we ordered a bunch of roses...

(pitter patter)

on Valentines Day

we tattered the pages of the David Austin catalog

picking favorites..

we had so much fun,

this is going to be a

new tradition...

my big box arrived today...

they are mailed at the appropriate time

for your climate...

but I do admit,

I got anxious

and called to check on them a couple weeks ago...

yep,

a dozen rose

BUSHES!

I am eager to meet Mortimer,

 James...

and ten of their closest friends...

I have a busy weekend ahead...

planting...

planting is my thing,

I LOVE to plant!

it is raining cats and dogs today...

but here is a quick peek at my Eden Rose...

she is looking  good,

no buds yet...

on a post about roses,

there should be roses!

so I dug around my pics...
