A Small Tea...

Spring feels like a time for small things...

mix match china,
clustered on a small platter...

easy for a spot of tea
at in impromptu picnic...

the best spring flowers are the smalls,
easily displayed in a creamer...

my teacup is not so small,
but the little teapot is...

really only suitable
for a warm up...

even though the mug lacked the petite qualities
of the other pieces...

I couldn't resist
it's casual spring pattern...

a pair of bite size cookies,
just a nibble...

a nook...

to laze away
a bit of time at the end of the day....

soaking in the sweetness of
small things...

Today I am sharing tea with...

Thanks for sipping with me today...

Opening Day Weekend...

It was a beautiful weekend,
it was a sunny weekend..

It was opening day weekend...

the Lilacs burst open all around the garden...

and garage sales started opening up...

I picked up this round mirror
with beveled glass edges
for a couple dollars...

perfect for a centerpiece...

I popped into a little antique store,
to indulge my new intrigue...

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint...

I spied this big beautiful pressed glass
 basket vase...

you gotta have sparkle :-)

I knew the Lilacs would be a perfect fit,

I am sure roses won't be shabby either...

I hope your weekend was sweet too..

Today I am joining...

Thanks for stopping by today...

Aprils End in the Garden...

April has been a busy month in the garden...

the weather has been beautiful,
and I have been reorganizing beds...

Everyday it seems
 something new is blooming,
it's happening too fast!

Come along
and I'll show you some end of April favorites...

English Daisy...

the blue bells
of the Woody Hyacinth
ring in the spring...

Jacobs Ladder is already beginning to bloom...

it's grape juice scent
wafting on the breeze...

here come the Columbines too...

there has been a lot of work...

and puppy play...

Cosmo is glad his sisters are past the baby stage
and more fun to play with...

yes!   he needs the exercise (shhhh :-) )

the bog of the pond is bursting in bloom..

and Buttercup (shhh :-) )

fishes are swimming...

I bought new flowering baskets for the gazebo...

Fushia and Bacopa,
what a fun pairing!

the young Clematis is climbing...

Forget-Me-Nots and Violets...

a pairing Monet would love...

a shady resting spot,
a place to breathe in all the goodness of spring...

Today I am joining...
